When they k**led the union in this country they k**led this country. When Reagan fired the air traffic controllers every union in this country should have shut down. If the people of this country want a good country, nothing comes easy. Nobody wants to v**e or work for all the people so we take what we get. We sit around and complain about everything that goes wrong in this country, but we are not willing to do anything to change it. The rich people stick together and help each other. The rest of the people are stealing from each other, and k*****g each other. Living in a world and depending on someone else to make your life better is a waste of life. If we want a better country we need to v**e people in who will fight for the people and not for special interests. All we have in this country is legal organized crime in our government. If people are satisfied with that then I don't see a problem in this country. So keep on complaining and have a good life.

Unions forced wages up and "floated" the middle class.

The downside is that it created a mentality of entitlement. The mantra: we want more money. has lost it's sophistication.

The Union had the opportunity to provide industry with collaborative buffer of knowledge and experience. How many times have you seen Union workers being accused of charging time and they weren't even in the plant? If they wanted to pretend to work they should go get an MBA.

Your word "play" is fine, but I would go a step further and say that we have a government for the elitists, by the elitists....and therefore not by you, me or anyone that matters. I'm not even sure if v****g matters anymore, since we don't even expect to make sure that a registered v**er is a citizen or even alive.

Disappointing for sure....

The union leaders look a lot like the rich people who stick together and help each other. Most times they take advantage of their position to rip off thier union members and make love to government officials. This is why the union bosses are just as susceptible to corruption as the rich or the politicians.

I believe that unions filled a very real need when they started. Human nature, being what it is, caused them to expand way beyond a helpful role. They, "k**led the goose that layed the golden egg," but still kept lobbying for "more" to keep their members happy. They negotiated retirement plans which could not be sustained and ended up with United Airlines dropping their plan entirely and leaving a whole generation of already retired folks h*****g in mid-air. Most private industry unions have gone way down in membership but government employee unions are now bleeding the country dry.

Everybody has something to h**e. We are a country where every one has a pet peeve. Pick a subject and someone will have something nasty or something good to say about it. Here's one for everybody. If we Americans don't hang together we will hang separately. We are a nation of complainers. When I was in the Marines the D. I. called us a herd until we all acted for the best of all. Seventy men became one. The working people are being picked apart. There is no middle class anymore. All we know how to do is gripe. Have a nice day.
