Pointing out the Democratic party's best senate hopes in the south is hardly at odds with acknowledging the larger Senatorial trends. It is normal for the party holding the White House, to have set-backs in the mid-term e******ns. The issue for the Democrats is to keep the damage to a minimum, but holding all the current Democratic Senate seats is just not realistic politically.

I am a realist. I am not like the Republicans who dream of impeachment and conviction, because either (a) they don't know enough math to do a senate head count or (b) they do not know what 2/3 majority means.
