Although she is getting too infirm to do her job. I guess she thinks that God will take care of her retirement for us.

She could be enjoying her remaining years like a Queen.

I have known people who do not have a life outside of their job. Back 30 some odd years ago a company I worked for had quite a few old timers who would not leave. It was not that they were so critical that the company could not do without them, and it was not that they financially could not afford to retire. Both of those reasons are reasons not to retire. They just had no idea what to do with themselves once they could not work.

When health problems finally forced them to leave, they were devastated. Later on when my generation came of old age, none of us stayed one day later than we financially had to. The company made sure our jobs were not so comfortable that we had to be d**gged out the door kicking and screaming.

I knew people like that also, but they were not worth Millions.
Some people can, and should enjoy life.
$4.065 Million Dollars.

I have never had a job that I liked that much that I wanted to continue to do it after I did not need the money. If I was rich and wanted to remain useful and relevant I would find some do gooder volunteer job.

I have also seen people fall apart after retirement because they lost purpose in life. You have to have a reason to get up in the morning.

I feel sorry for those people. I couldn't wait to retire (4 years ago now). My life is filled with things I like to do when I want to do them and how I do them! There's so much in the world to enjoy! One thing I like to do is sit at a mall or some public place and look at the faces of older people. Their wrinkles tell many stories...frown wrinkles...smile wrinkles...people with pained expressions and people who are really enjoying themselves. Too bad some people give up "living" when they leave their jobs. And a lot of them didn't even like the job in the first place!

Isn't that a (slightly altered) line from Cool Hand Luke?

Those people likely stayed in a job that was wearing them down. Again when I was young companies took care of their older workers, now it is the opposite. You get into your 50s and they make it so miserable that it is hard to make it to 62, forget about 67. I left a place because I could no longer stand it. I was not ready to retire, just change jobs. The problem with that is you give up your accumulated benefits like vacation and you will work for far less money. Also starting over at a new place is difficult. You go from knowing what you are doing to being a newbie. Fortunately I was mentally prepared. I know the games played on beginners by those already there. You have people with a few years of experience, but half your age treating you like an i***t. I know the drill. I've been through it enough times in my life. You just have to tough it out.

I financially put myself in a position to start over. I am glad I did it but it still was hard. I also positioned myself where if it does not work out I can quit. For the first time in my life I can quit if I want to. That means a lot. It is not just me being a whiner. It seems everyone I know in their late 50s to early 60s is in the same boat. They have come to h**e what they do, but are trapped financially.

I am in between. I'd love to fully retire and travel. I could survive if I do, but not well. If I can put off taking SS and hitting my retirement accounts for a year or two, I will be in good shape. The problem is people think I am retired and want me to take on new responsibilities. I've turned them down since I am still employed and do not have the time or energy for that. When I finally decide to pull the plug on working, I likely will try to be useful in some type of voluntary work while finally enjoying more leisure.

There should be a law to replace judges on the USSC and members of Congress when a member is senile, mentally ill, or unable to do the job competently (think Ted Kennedy), however, that would put most Dems/Libs out of a job. There would be a lot of "job openings on the Dem side of Congress. Ginsburg can make all the "plans" she wants, her future depends on God's plan for her.

How long does it take to buy a ticket to New Zealand? As I recall that was her promise if Trump got elected. Maybe she's to addled to remember, maybe New Zealand would not issue a visa, afraid she would start her PC program there.

Just run a rod through her ass and she will just sit there. It will be hard to tell if she is alive or dead because she looks dead now.
