I have long been fascinated by the intractable circular thinking among those on the right that goes something like this: “Those on the left are liberals and advocates of progressive causes, not to mention being unapologetic supporters of President Obama, therefore they are socialist. Why? Because Obama, and all liberals are, of course, socialists. Those progressive causes include all social welfare programs and entitlements as well as any attempt to rein in the excesses of big business and the finance industry. Then, if they are socialists, they must also be f*****ts in the tradition of Hitler. After all, his party was the Nationalist Socialist German Worker’s Party and in fact he considered himself a socialist. A slight variation of this line of reasoning would substitute “Stalin,” who brought us the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. In either case, the thinking goes, these dangerous liberals/ socialists are really f*****ts, and the programs and policies that they support are inherently evil and intended to destroy the economy and undermine democracy. Yes, destroy America. Not as an unintended consequence of misguided policies; but to bring deliberate ruin upon the country. Many Presidents have been called socialist in the pejorative, yet none, in modern times, have been accused of trying to bring down the country or of being Hitler- until now-a testament to the extreme antipathy leveled at this current president. One need not look far to find the writings of people who think exactly this way.

While likening Hitler’s National Socialism to today’s social democrats and to use F*****m and Socialism interchangeably, is beyond absurd, to call Obama a f*****t-or a Stalinist- in the mold of either is tenfold more ludicrous. You conservatives can continue to denounce Obama and the rest of us as socialist for our efforts to bring about a degree of economic justice . You can continue to use “ Socialism as a slur. But please stop embarrassing yourselves, and the country that you claim to love by comparing him to a Hitler who will impose a brutal dictatorship and bring about another holocaust. You’re just showing your ignorance of history and demeaning the memory of the victims of the N**is who suffered through the rein of the real Hitler. In addition, you might want to consider some of your other N**i like characteristics. ….your homophobia, xenophobia, puritanical views on social issues, Christian fanaticism ,support for the death penalty, union busting tactics, militarism and nationalism, and a nihilistic, paranoid world view. The only thing that you may not have entirely in common with the F*****ts is a desire for a strong controlling central government, except that is when it comes to reproductive rights, and sexual behavior- so in reality you cover all the bases. Another matter that may distinguish today’s conservatives from Hitler: He was a vegetarian and abhorred the use of tobacco. One last thing. Try substituting the words “Islamic extremism” for Christian and “Taliban “ for “N**i” It still works! You are really all alike.

The thing that offends me the most is your arrogance and ignorance. Virtually everything you stated as a fact is not true. The right is much more altruistic, compassionate and charitable. The 50% who do not pay federal taxes also pay no state or local taxes except for sales and property taxes(Only in America can the poor own their own houses) and ALL of them receive benefits or actual money from the gov't on top of that. The left has intentionally destroyed the schools, gov't and religion in a jealous rage over their perceived lack of fairness in the world as if we invented that. What we did invent is the free enterprise system which you disparage and lie about. It has created freedom, prosperity and improved human rights wherever it has been implemented and simply screaming that this is not true shows your lack of a true education. The left disparages the very businesses that give you the ability to sit on your ass all day and do nothing but complain and make up lies about. They heat your homes, power your cars, feed you, dress you, treat your medical needs and used to educate you and all you do is piss in their faces and make it harder to do. You l*****ts simply base your statements and philosophy on the notion that you know better, well you hardly know better. Since the advent of the liberal movement the great institutions of this country have steadily circled the toilet and are at a point where they are producing ignorant fools like you who do nothing but disparage the good people of this country and are a d**g on our effectiveness. You need to look in the mirror as you are delusional at best and probably hurting the people around you with your negativity and lies.

This link is the same source Perry used. With only one source either Obama is clean (unlikely in my opinion) or this source may or may not be creditable. I would question the credibility of the source at this point. Unless Perry has additional facts to back up what he said, he should have kept his mouth shut on this matter.
