Many presidents have led us to war; President Bush is not the first and will not be the last. I do not know many people that were not in favor of war after 911. It was difficult to see any other position to take. Whereas there were issues with the intelligence gathered, none can say that President Bush did not do the will of the vast majority of Americans. We were attacked on our own soil. How many people would have not asked for President Bush's head had he just wimped out? Think about the position the President holds....he is employed by the people. We the people wanted revenge, we wanted to see the terrorist and those that would support attacking us, we wanted their blood running freely in the streets. Then the beheading, did that ever stir more hostilities. Obama inherited the war. True, it continues to grow in scope and the amount of lives and money; and he has not fulfilled his promise to stop and pull out. But, he is not the first to continue wars that were going on before they took office. Consider Viet Nam... how many years and through how many presidencies did that span? So, yes I found President Bush a very decent human that wanted with all his heart to do the right thing.
Whereas it is true, I do not give a thought to my likeability by you or anyone else, I find that your attacking me personally is a reflection on your inability to discuss or debate fact pertaining to politics. I will not offer you any in-depth information about what I did as a military member or as a government employee. Should you ever have a need to know, I shall provide you copies of my retirement certificates, copies of my awarded medals, copies of letters from Presidents Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George Bush, Sr. George Bush, Jr, and those from Obama. Indeed even letters from former Joint Chiefs of Staff. But, it is my decision that you do not have a need to know or to see those documents. But, because that is not the issue and you are trying hard to deflect the emphasis of this thread into a personal attack I will ignore your claim that I am unt***hful about my history.
Obama is not the worst president elected to office. Presidents Zackary Taylor, Herbert Hoover, William Henry Harrison, Ulysses S. Grant, John Tyler, Millard Fillmore, all come to mind and I do need to add Nixon into the list. So, Obama has not done a stellar job and he is part of my list but he does not rate the number one position. I know, you probably have not studied the policies or lack thereof of some of these presidents; most have no claim to glory (with Grant as the only exception) other than the people of the US elected them to office.
As for my political lean, I do not step in line with any political line. I v**e based on past performances, for what the individual v**ed for or against, and my personal belief based on their speeches (and yes I do know that the speeches are only sales pitches). For most of my beliefs, I am very conservative. But, I am also a thinking person and will not h**e or discard an individual based only on what party is supporting them. I am also a person that can look beyond the superficial and media hyperbole to see the motivating factors.

REALLY? You speak of briefing Pres. Bush and you speak well of him even though he's directly responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people in his takeover of the Iraq oil fields, through lies to and deception of the American people.
Then you say you don't think Obama's "done a good job". Well, no kidding on that one, eh? "But he's far from the worst"???
I don't get you at all. I don't think you get yourself. The man appoints a homosexual p*******e as "Safe Schools Czar", but that's not so bad, huh? He appoints a bunch of C*******ts to help run our country, but hey, not so bad. Everything he says about himself, his life and his family has been proven to be lies, along with damn near everything else he's ever told us, like "you can keep your medical plan", but that's pretty much okay with you, too?
I think you're a propagandist, and that you're making all that impressive sounding stuff up about yourself. Now I know, you're going to respond that you don't care what I think and etc., rather than give an honest answer to what you really are. RINO? Progressive? Centralist? Independent?
What possible excuse can you have for saying that Obama is not that bad of a president?
