Flat tax is the only fair way. Doesn't matter the rate that is set 5 to 35%. As long as everyone pays the same rate. No deductions, no loopholes. A stated percentage of every dollar earned is what you will owe. You can then greatly reduce the burden of the IRS on the citizens. Reduce paperwork and the need to refund any back. Citizens can then start planning and budgeting. The economy will quickly recover.

Another thing that bothers me about the current taxation system is - How did Obama get his tax rate down to 18+ percent, shouldn't he be paying tax on his vacation travel in excess of 2 trips per year. Surely he has to declare some of that as income, I know reimbursement for expenses have to be declared as income by myself and others who work as I do.

60% don't think the taxes are fair - guess that includes the just under 50% who pay no income taxes at all (or actually have a negative income tax)

Skewed for the top 1%, interesting when the top 1% pay over 1/3 of all income taxes = h**e to think what skewed against might do, presumably what the left seems to favor, the top 1% pay 100% -

Don't think it will happen, but you have a point. Eventually the 1% will get their craw full. They have the means to leave when the situation becomes unstable.

This is another reason for publicly funded political campaigns so that it will be much harder to buy e******ns. With the new Supreme Court decision to allow anyone to give any amount to candidates no average Joe can have a say in running this country.

Answer this how many people were on the b****t for President in the last e******n? Answer 4. Can you name them? I bet not because two of them were from small independent parties that had only minimal money.

We need to level the playing field for all offices and it should not cost any more than tax payers paid for the last e******n.
