You are not required to fear being sued, but that fact is that if you cause someone harm as a result of a knowingly false accusation, any competent lawyer could find out where you are hiding in about thirty minutes and sue your ass off for every miserable dime you have in that fruit jar buried in your rose bed. However, there are exceptions such as some public figures. You can accuse Obama of anything and you can just make it up.

You said Snopes could come after him. That would be about as likely as a public figure doing so. If you know of even one case where someone has been sued for posting something false on an opinion forum I'd like to hear about it.

If it is obviously very important to you to believe you are right. I can't remember a time when you labeled anything you pontificated as your opinion. Opinions often begin with, I think, I believe, It seems to me, I have heard that, It makes sense to me, They say. If you say that a person you specify is a rapist and he looses his position and large salary as head of a mega church, you can depend on being sued no matter what page it is on and you will lose unless you can prove the charge.

Ask an attorney and you will hear about it.

You need to read my entire comment and do your best to understand it before emoting. You picked a part out of context about which to express your emotions. That can get you some good feelings for a short time, but turns bad when reality hits.

What the hell are you talking about? He can say anything he pleases on this forum without fear of being sued for slander. It's an OPINION forum and he's anonymous anyway for God's sake! Where do you get this crap from?

Glaucon is an academic, he lives in another world, one where STUDENTS have to believe him, or get failed from a course where they paid good money. He is accustomed to have his way and not be questioned. I finished college a long time ago, before l*****ts like him ruined the college education. But I do practice law also, and am quite up on libel and slander laws, so far I'v won all of my cases! To win a judgement, the lies have to be believable, and such that a reasonable person would believe them, they must be provable wrong, and the person suing must PROVE damage! If it is an opinion, there is no libel or slander. This is considered to be an OPINION site! You could even wear a tee shirt with an insult on it, it would still be an opinion. Like Glaucon......his opinions are just that...opinions! He ONLY WANTS us to believe them! I stated a long time ago why I don't believe everything from Snopes, concerning an instance where I was present, but Snopes said different! Were they there? Was Glaucon there? But he calls me a liar, that's his privledge, it's only his opinion! Now he wants to threaten me to believe?? There might be some roaches that don't like me too? Do I care?

Lena, I am lost. I saw no connection between the things you have on the posts I have viewed and the fact that Obama has not issued anywhere near the EOs some have reported.

Also, the tea party is well past growing. It is fading rapidly to an oddity in political history. Will soon have no effect whatsoever.

Be happy in your little dreamworld.

What does the rest matter. You cannot refute the millions given to muslim brotherhood( our enemy ) . You cannot refute he has abandoned oue allies. You cannot refute things that are true. You can however choose not to see what is as plain as the nose on your face.

Is his nose still visible? I thought it was so firmly ensconced in "Ovomits" anal orifice it was no longer evident he possessed one.

Second of all I'm not a h**er, but the reason I asked you earlier if you read the whole article is because, if you'll notice, the idea that Obama has issued more executive orders than other President is refuted in the second part of the article. I'm not defending Obama here because I rarely have any reason to defend him, just pointing out that you missed this.

I think what she is trying to say is that there is lying and smearing and exaggeration on both sides, which would make her an Independent, not a conservative. She also feels the corruption in government is so bad a revolution is needed.

I am an Independent so I would not disagree that the corruption is out of control in government. Even the EPA is now being accused of using money for political gain instead of protecting the environment.

But Lena, the comment "read this and tell me you are still a liberal" does not correlate to what you posted. You should have stated "read this and tell me when the lies spread on both sides will stop."

I remember noticing some years ago that the EPA claimed giving several billion dollars to environmental groups, Quoting the Sierra Club as one, I would like to know who the others are? And why those eco-wackos are still tax exempt? They sure don't stay out of politics!

You say you would like to know who the others are. Wouldn't it be good to find out what, if any, t***h their is to the one before you look for others? The problem is you can find almost anything you want to find, but what you are desperate to find is often factoids.

No, none of the government agencies are clean. They all are corrupted by politics, dirty money, ties to the other agencies, lack of oversight. None of the agencies are effectively doing what they were formed to do.

The FDA is in bed with the doctors, with P****r and other big Pharma, as well as health insurance companies. These agencies and lobbying groups are so closely tied the purpose of the FDA has been lost.

We need changes in laws. An executive from one agency should not be allowed to be hired at a different agency. Lobbying needs to be banned. There are many things we can do to stop the corruption, but no one will because of the money involved.

I used to work at a doctors office as a teenager and witnessed first-hand the "drug pushers" that came into the office on a weekly basis, dressed in trench coats and business suits. They always had free samples of the newest drug, and asked to speak to the doctor. Alone. Next thing I knew, the doctor had free samples of the newest drug in the office's filing cabinet, and every patient that came in with a cold was getting a prescription for that very same drug.

Please, I'm not dumb.

I do agree that it would not be wise to completely disband the government agencies. But we need leaders with enough humbleness and enough balls to take the rampant corruption down and give you Democrats a good name again. I would think liberals would be more upset about the corruption than the conservatives. These are your programs, and they are smearing your v**e and your intentions.

I remember when the FDA was in league with some stock market s**mmers, that cost me some money. After losing most of the money I "invested" in the market, I quit! and took what they hadn't already taken, out! So figure, All the hours I worked so that a few thieves in NYC could steal all I worked for! Since then I asked a broker friend about that, he said that the whole system is only a scheme! A setup to steal money from the workers for the insiders! I do remember only one case where an insider was fined about .002% of what he stole! And another where one was fined for revealing inside info to his whore! It's legal to reveal insider info to other insiders, just not the innocent investors!
