In Response To An Attack By Another Country, Cyber Or Otherwise...
The attack itself is a small part of dealing with it, and here is where the competence of the president comes into play...
Any well planned attack will cause chaos and confusion, part of today's attacks will include shutting down infrastructure and communication. Basically people will not have a clue what is going on.
Well orchestrated and executed attacks could throw confusion as to where they came from, who did it and who participated. An attack by one country could be used as a trigger for others such as North Korea to join in, hit an enemy while they are dealing with damage from another. Our intelligence has picked up with communication about North Korea and China being all too aware of the damage that can be done with EMP with high altitude strategic nukes. Plans have apparently been floated along those lines. North Korea is making noise about attacking South Korea. Trump is in a corner where North Korea is concerned with the news that he is openly expanding and building new nuclear installations.
With communications in chaos, we need to be able to trust the judgement of the president. I for one have less than zero faith in his judgement and how he arrives at conclusions. Does he take Putin's word for what's taking place? His knee jerk reaction will be to launch nuclear weapons, he doesn't care who it's at, it's whoever he has the biggest bug up his butt about.
In an attack scenario we would probably never get to the bottom of what happened with Trump calling his version of the t***h. The right would trust and believe him, the left would not. The dust would settle on a new world under a different control, hopefully it wouldn't be nuclear dust.
