Please explain what “our culture” is. I have been in 47 states and 36 nations, the culture if you can call it that in Boulder Colorado is much more different than that in Macon Georgia than the differences between those in LA and Guadalajara Mexico. We are a nation of hundreds if not thousands of cultures from Hopi Indians in the west to Hasidic Jews in New York. To suggest someone assimilate to some sort of American culture that dosn’t exist is asinine.

Assimilating into our "culture" means becoming an American and supporting America, where most of us speak English and oppose l*****t views of tons of government and less freedom. LOL!!!!!

Just pat yourself on the back! You are right in one sense, that there are many cultures observed in this country. The two different areas you speak of still have a American culture that has been around for years and they still speak English. They are only different in a traditional way. But most of those people still observe the culture that this country has had for many years until the progressives wanted to change that with the use of r****m and all other forms of demeaning others for how they think. Just my opinion. There have been few countries, where mutable cultures have been established that have survived for very many years. They eventually fail because of these cultural differences, which include language barriers between the different cultures. Most multi lingual countries fail in a sort time frame. When more than one language is predominate there are eventually problems that occur between the different parties of people. That seems to be human nature and one I wish could be alleviated. But that will never happen wanting division between races, languages and cultures. Other than that, have a great day.

You've hit on something important. The importance of language. It was the develop0ement of language which led to things like self awareness and yes, even mathematics. Common language removes the barrier between people. Those who want to come in and refuse to learn English are saying that they are better, that they don't want to share who they are, and they want to use that to their advantage. i truly believe there would be zero problems with immigration if they immigrants would work to learn English and thus, lower the barriers which emphasize our differences. Well, maybe not zero.
