Democrats and Nixon

Democrats are now comparing President Trump and President Nixon. When you think of Nixon, what comes to mind?

1. Established the EPA
2. Ended the Draft
3. War on Cancer
4. Lowered the Deficit
5. Health-care
6. Proposed a Guaranteed Wage
7. Lowered V****g Age
8. Proposed the Philadelphia Plan
9. Signed Title IX
10. Ended segregation in the remaining 7 Southern states

Or is the first thing you think is the 37th president of the United States was a crook, a liar, and a raging anti-Semite. Who deliberately sabotaged the Vietnam peace process, launched the expensive failure known as the War on Drugs, and famously ordered his goons to try to burgle the Democratic Party’s headquarters.

If you look at what he did.... he was a Democrat, although he ran and won the Presidency as a Republican. His actions after taking office aligns him with the current Democratic party.

My dear friend.... I doubt that you fear anything.... especially what others may think.

Perhaps, however you do have to admit that he worked hard for the Democrat's agenda. The difference, he got caught. Most politicians ensure others do their dirty work and then commits suicide by gun shot to the back of their heads. Or be the only fatality when a plane goes down in the ocean.

That agenda you talk about used to be the republican agenda

Nixon was smart enough to obstruct and try to influence the investigation in secrecy, Trump thinks if he tweets and openly says what he's doing it makes it okay. It's not, and imagine the surprise when open tweets and statements to the press are listed as evidence of obstruction. Imagine that information brought to the white house from the special investigation is illegal, they haven't even been trying to hide the conduits, Giuliani brags about it.

The switch came much earlier, sometime between the 1860s and 1936, the (Democratic) party of small government became the party of big government, and the (Republican) party of big government became rhetorically committed to curbing federal power. Long before Nixon. One thing that many do not realize, politicians are not necessarily loyal to their party. When they do their first research into the possibility of running for office, one thing that is looked at hard is which party may win that e******n. They then will often change party (about 2 years before they intend to run) so they can be nominated..... and they sell that party's agendas. Once they are elected, they then determine if they can get their honest goals accomplished while doing minimal work for the party that got them elected.

You are thinking that candidate Trump's tweets will give Mueller enough poison to k**l the President. I don't think so... even the Russia Penthouse thing will not be an issue. You see, he was in real estate without (unlike others) guarantee of becoming President of the USA. He had a right and responsibility to continue making a living for himself and his family. Further, Mueller has the burden of proof that the candidate or now President of the US received any benefits from a canceled or abandoned real estate deal. That will be hard to do.
