Considering the heat he's been taking do you believe he'd have done this without the criticism he's been taking?

He absolutely wanted nothing to do with visiting troops in a war zone, quite frankly it doesn't matter anyway now.

Nobody has had to pressure past presidents, it's something they just did. If Trump had had any sense he'd have done a launch and landing on an aircraft carrier like Bush did, it was hugely popular with his base.

Where have you been? He has been taking slings and arrows for two years. He just shakes it off and keeps coming. Pretty soon he's gonna knock some dipsticks over the ropes and out of the ring. No ten count required, no TKO's, lights out. Call the undertaker.

I have to agree with you there. I know Trump supporters want very badly to believe he is the greatest president to have ever lived but reality is quite different.

The only thing that makes your argument possible is that everything Trump has done in the past two years, good or bad, has been equally criticized by the left. He has ignored this ridiculous criticism and moved ahead with his plans, making any argument from the left, such as your own, moot. It's very amusing to watch you clowns come up with one stupid argument after another about why Trump is bad. You guys seem to be able to look at reality all day long and call it fantasy. The left's behavior during the last 2 years has made them look like fools. The record is full of quotes made by Democrats such as Schumer, Pelosi, et al that they have reversed since Trump has been in office.

You have a right to your own opinion-- Made possible by the constitution of our great country. I stand by mine. The stock market is on the way down now and crops are rotting in the fields. Did Leadership decisions have something to do with this?

I've never questioned whether I have a right to my own opinion, Tom. At least not yet. But as I watch what is happening to conservative spokespersons in restaurants and college campuses, I can't help but begin to wonder, not to mention what Trump has had to endure from the MSM. The stock market, like the climate has always fluctuated and always will. What upsets me is that 90% of the MSM focuses on the negative or the half empty glass.

The stock market is the creature of the Federal Reserve's manipulations. It is going down because they want it to go down. The crops rotting in the fields are the direct result of the retaliation against Trump's tariff. Historically such huge tariff impositions have never cured the problem they were designed to correct and have been directly responsible for depressions. It remains to be seen if this tariff gambit will continue in that vein.

Very decent answer thankyou for being honest about the tarriffs. I don't understand the federal reserve part though could you explain it to me? I have never played the stock market . Once I owned 5000 shares in a bed wetting alert company. At $1 a share I thought I would get rich. I lost it all LOL.

You are right to be offended by what happened to conservative spokespersons in restaurants. Common decency should be to leave people alone--live and let live--I am an elected public official and I have had the international hand signal of friendship in my face more than once--- I'm responsible for a tax levy that benefits my nieghborhood but there is always the opposition that thinks they were mistreated

Tom, there is no question that tariffs have repeatedly bit us in the butt when we tried to use them as a weapon. There were tariffs, of a low level, imposed on all kinds of goods but the system was in equilibrium. As soon as Trump tried to force new trade agreements using heavy duty tariffs the affected countries fought back and this starts the cycle toward depression, worldwide.

Trump’s goal of rectifying bad trade deals was good, but the means he chose are extremely dangerous. The great negotiator is trying to negotiate with a gun at the heads of the other nations and the only problem is that they have guns as well. The equilibrium I mentioned earlier can result in other nations taking up supplying the soybean and other crop needs and it will be many years, if ever, before our farmers regain market share.

The Federal Reserve has many hidden agencies whose sole purpose is to prop up or diminish the stock market. Aside from their overt purchases of their own and other financial industry stocks they engage in the secret manipulation of stock market pricing. I don’t have the textbook I got this from and I will have to go do a bunch of searching on the net to find the references but they are out there. There is one Federal Reserve agency, in particular, which does mos of this manipulation.
