In a Mexican newspaper I read that Mexico is giving the migrants (would be invaders) another reason for not breaching the border. Seven thousand job .... a job for each person that has now appeared at our border. Salvador Díaz, president of a local industry association, said that “between 7,000 and 10,000 jobs” are on offer at the migrant job fair including positions in factories and other sectors such as hospitality." In return the Mexican government will give him a tax deduction for each he hires.

Now the question will be.... how many will take the jobs? It will be interesting to follow this and how many will still press themselves on a nation that, for the most part, are unwelcoming.

This will certainly sort the honest ones out.... if they truly want a job and security, Mexico is offering. But, Mexico will not give them free stuff. We will see.

It's hard to imagine things being so bad to put yourself and your family through such a thing, talk about a wing and a prayer. Mexico is stepping up as we step back. It takes people who have suffered to have empathy for others and lend a hand. We were once that country. This is not a proud moment. Maybe we should remove the torch, the beacon, from the statue of Liberty?

By imaging myself in their position I would think that they would prefer welfare over a job for a number of reasons. In all probability the wages are low, no benefits, they can be laid off at anytime, Mexican citizenship not as good as U.S. citizenship. In the U.S. the welfare never seems to end. Very few will take the job in Mexico if any. If a few do it is for a stall in time till tempers calm down then sneak across the border for the welfare and birth rights for their offspring. Tough decision; duh.

Of course, they will be your responsibility.... for everything they need for the rest of their lives. And while you are at it, think about what over population is doing to the world and in particular the USA. Resources are not infinite...

There are 30 million i******s in this country. Morgan, I suspect your morality. Did U watch TV today? Did U see millions of cars clogging the freeways in LA and the bay area?. By advocating open borders U are assuring that American Citizens will have to get in their vehicle at 3 am in order to reach work and add another 5 hours to get home. More of everything that over population can produce will be necessary and most of it will hurt or damage the American people. In the old days U would be shot or hanged. More of all consumed free stuff. I want the gov to adopt your policies and I want the Gov to take 75% of your liberal paycheck to pay for all your liberal policies. Liberals insist that there is enough open land in the US to take in a billion people.
But, if you think about it... that is not true, from the middle of Texas west is desert.
Sure, it is open land ... all desert, you can not farm it or even run cattle on it.
We are depleting our water supplies across the nation to provide for the over crowed places like California (which is 80 percent desert). This year we had several animals go extent due to over population and damage to their habitat. We export billions of pounds of garbage each year due to the increase in population. No matter how much we cut down on carbon release... the extra population is driving us back into the days of smog covered sky especially over California, New York and other places. And if that is not bad enough... the farm lands can not keep up with demand to produce more on less. We have thousands of children who are homeless, go to bed hungry, and some do not even attend school. And that is just the tip of the harm over population does.

Think about it, Morgan, they were told NOT to come, they were told if they DID come, they would not get in. If you want to feel sorry for somebody, then feel sorry for the ones who are taking the long expensive road to US citizenship. Feel sorry for the poor in America, our OWN people. Do you really believe that 7 thousand people just all decided to walk away from home on a trip of a thousand miles with only the clothes on their back, to a country that said don't come and if you do you won't get in, all at the same time? But I will give you this Morgan; who is feeding the drug cartels? We are. If we STOPPED using recreational drugs, the cartels would fade away. Gangs need to be eradicated the same as ISIS was (only remnants remain). We need to seek out and eliminate crooked politicians. Government agents need to be held responsible for their actions. Not only have we been foreign aiding all over the globe, American corporations have been building factories and hiring Mexicans in those factories since '85, which means WE'VE GIVEN ENOUGH. If those factory and service jobs are good enough for the people of Mexico, they should be good enough for asylum seekers, right? If not, they aren't asylum seekers and need to come here legally with work visas, IMO.
