I studied the Christian religion and I have read and studied the Bible. Do you think that might be enough "little reading" for me to be as sure as you seem to be about how "he" wanted things.?

Who is he?

why did He change his mind?

Can we disregard the old Testament entirely now?

If we can't just do away with the old testament, how do we know whom to stone or who gets stoned?

If we wait long enough, he might change his mind again and we might have to disregard the New Testament. I think I might wait and see how it turns out. I don't want to be stoning my son and find out the rules have changed.
I studied the Christian religion and I have read a... (show quote)

you said you had read the whole Bible so do you remember that Christ said, he who is without sin cast the first stone that ended stoning for Christians only Muslims continue, of course they are 2000 years behind the rest of the world in everything

"Pursuit" is a verb and requires action. I am very active in helping others in my community but also will not allow myself to be taken advantage of by those who don't want to take responsibility for creating their own happiness.

Patty,

You have done pretty well for yourself with the support and assistance of many others. Now you have yours and you want to keep it. You also want to judge the conditions and motives of those who suffer. I think Jesus would be offended by this approach. Maybe you know another Jesus.

Someone on another thread said she stood and watched people at the grocery check out to see if what they were buying was right or wrong. For most, I think it is more important to feed their hunger than to convince ourselves we should judge them and build their character.

Alex,

You misunderstood my point, again. I thought Christians believed in the entire Bible. We no longer stone select offenders, but if we followed our entire bible, we would be justified in doing so. You have heard the saying, the Bible is like a person; if you torture it enough, it will tell you anything you want to hear.

the old testament was the law, the new testament, under Jesus Christ over rides the old, which is why so many of you non Christians feel there are so many contradictions

Alex, Excellent twisting and torturing gets You the warm satisfaction that you are right again. Above all, don't continue to fool yourself although you are the easiest to fool.
