Democrat Kyrsten Sinema wins Arizona Senate race after extended v**e count, NBC News declares
NBC News has declared Democratic Rep. Kyrsten Sinema the likely winner in the Arizona Senate race, giving her a narrow defeat over Republican Rep. Martha McSally.
The race had been too close to call on e******n night and since then has been mired in a nail-biting process of counting outstanding mail-in b****ts.
McSally said in a video posted to Twitter that she had called Sinema to congratulate her on becoming Arizona's first female senator after "a hard-fought battle. I wish her all success as she represents Arizona in the Senate.
