The severe d******eness in America will either get better, or it will not, the choice is ours to make. Putting things into perspective is not something we do anymore - the glass is either too full or too empty. For many years, Americans have allowed politicians, and their organizations, to manipulate them by exaggerating their fears, or sometimes creating new stuff to fear. How many politicians benefited from the Ebola scare of 2013 - 2014? Those politicians that did, ignored the scientific advice and explanations, telling Americans they didn't know what they were talking about. Many Americans believed the politicians, not the scientists, letting their fears of the unknown impede their good sense.

The political landscape in DC changes next year with the new Congress, with Democrats controlling the House, while Republicans continue to control the Senate. There is a chance for some common sense to creep into the proceedings, but that remains to be seen. Will the sitting lawmakers concentrate on trying to mold things in their run up to the 2020 e******ns, or will they do what they've been elected to do? The can do both................as long as the "other" party doesn't get any credit for it. Here's where the process falls apart most of the time; Democrats are a super minority of around 20% of the population, Republicans are a super minority of around the same percentage, which means that the non partisan citizens comprise a super MAJORITY............................who are left unrepresented, and who aren't allowed to participate except at e******n time.

Let's be clear here, the American people did not elect Donald Trump, the E*******l college did, and so far, no effort has been made to represent anything or anyone not Donald Trump. It is a travesty for the President to so vocally and maliciously represent his party, to the exclusion of everyone else. It was a travesty for the majority party to pursue the mindless agenda of their party, to the exclusion of everyone else. It was a travesty for the minority party to mindlessly object to everything the President or GOP did, to the exclusion of everyone else.

To bring the country back together will require some brave souls to do the right thing for the MAJORITY of Americans, not what's best for themselves and their re-e******n or what's best for their caucus or party. We can absolutely count on the President to ignore everything except himself, and where in the past the GOP just rubber stamped wh**ever he wanted, the President will now have to make a case for his actions and be held accountable for them.....................just like every other President. We have an opportunity for a ceasefire...................or all out war................with the majority of Americans stuck in no mans land just like always. I think they may be getting just a little tired of that.

If you actually know anyone who is "stuck in no man's land" please send them to Texas.

We've got more work down here than a Hebrew s***e.

We might have to let some of those caravan Goobers come on over and give us a hand.

If you folks wanna see peace among the natives, you might start by accepting your defeat and show some humility.

Yes, the e*******l college worked in favor of Trump in the very way it did for Obammy.

Again, if you wanna see peace among us pilgrims, then admit that Obammy was a complete failure and that Trump has injected new energy into the economy and business is booming.

If you can't take those baby steps, then all your wonderful words are but a wisp of smoke.

I'm a pessimist on this one, lp. With a Democrat majority in the house, I expect "Resist and Obstruct" to reach new, unbelievable heights. And I expect many more witch hunts, starting with Kavanaugh.

For the most part I agree with you. Where I disagree is with your opinion of Trump. I admit I don't know but I'm optimist. I hope he will correct a lot of wrongs. Time will tell.

Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the resist and obstruct democrats already came out in loud unison that if they took over the house that they would continue the BS Justice Kavenah investigation as well as to start using subpoenas to go after anything and everything related to President Trump and OUR ADMINISTRATION. Fortunately President Trump came right back at them with basically stating be careful what you wish for. And I can tell you all right here and now that he has EVERYTHING that the Democrats have been hiding. He has all of the cards and unlike previous slack jawed presidents is unafraid to go after them and to call a spade a spade. So doom on them or anyone that thinks to try and continue with all of the political BS. The American people will be absolutely shocked as to how much s******n and treason that has been taking place which would also include some members of the Republican party most of which either lost their seats or are retirering.

That’s a good expectation.. I believe as you yet “ hope” we can have some Commonality on behalf of the country...

Given what I have read regarding the Democrats intentions when they take office I think they are going to have a fight on their hands. And once again it’s not for the country but for their own personal gain....Obstructionist at heart, h**ers in reality....Pathetic isn’t it.....

remember the audio tape of Mitch McConnell while Obama was being sworn in saying to fellow Republicans this president will get nothing and you obstructed till the day he left!
Think we don't remember but I'm sure we have a lot more class than you on the right who used to be conservative, that's a joke now!

Unicorns do exist in Texas and so does the Enchanted Forest.

Before the tax cuts, my company had already began turning down requests for bids due to the overwhelming increase of DOT, DPS and Dept.Of The Interior contracts.

Engineering firms are blowing up our phones.

'Before' the tax cuts we hired two crews for our southeast Texas division and our Austin Facility has hired more than twenty people.

Some of which are UT students.

'After' the tax cuts, every single employee got a raise and a bonus.

My raise and bonus was augmented with a new company truck.

The three Austin project managers received the same.

My father gave all his employees raises and bonuses also.

I don't know where you live, but Texas is booming.

My new truck is 'my' unicorn and the extra cash is as green as an enchanted Forest.
