Why Conservatives can't be r****t.

Today I was watching the news and they were covering one of Trumps rallies and it suddenly dawned on me why Conservatives couldn't possibly be r****t--as the camera panned over Trumps supporters there was nothing but a complete sea of white. So how can conservatives be r****t when they live in a world that is all one color? So from now on, when conservatives say they aren't r****t--I guess we should agree with them...or not...

I h**e to break it to you, Pete, but if you want to see some real r****ts, you need look no further than the Democratic Party.

S***ery, the KKK, Jim Crow laws... All Democrat.

Live with it.

Not a problem. So was that when the Democratic party was governed by conservatives or liberals? I ask because the Democratic party was started by Southern conservatives and remained that way for much of the 19th century. It wasn't until the early 20th century that Liberals and Conservatives started trading places in the two parties respectively. Or do you think that you guys were progressive enough to fight to preserve the union and give the black man his freedom? And the Republican party was very progressive as Teddy Roosevelt can attest when he tried to start his own party called the progressive!

And I do so love when you guys point out how we Democrats were behind all the bigotry and hatred targeting the black man because it gives me the chance to point out that it all occurred when our party was primarily governed by conservatives. I mean think about it--we believed in States Rights and thought we could secede from the union...a conservative position then and even now. We believed in maintaining the status quo--thus the reason behind the Civil War, Jim Crow, and the KKK--where maintaining status quo certainly conservative positions then and even now. Then there was the Civil Rights movement in the 50's and 60's--a progressive action--and most definitely opposed by you status quo seeking conservatives in both the Democratic and Republican parties. Should I go on?

And now when you look at a rally of Trump supporters it is literally a sea of white with a smattering of brown and black spots every now and then. Trump says this is because B****s are too stupid to v**e for him. I say they just realize what a r****t he is, so stay away. The irony is that in watching a rally held by Obama the audience was a mixture of all colors. So how can democrats be r****t when they are literally a mixture of every color in this country? The conservatives in the Democratic party have all moved over to the Republican party and with that move there went the majority of the r****ts! And the real irony is that it is a move welcomed by both parties--a purification for Democrats and an infusion for Conservatives--a happy, happy result for both...

So I was watching the news about a rally in Chicago a while back, and it was a "sea of African Americans". Does your logic apply here as well?

Peter,
Carpenter raises a good point. She claims you see what you want to see.

You say,"as the camera panned over Trumps supporters there was nothing but a complete sea of white. So how can conservatives be r****t when they live in a world that is all one color?"

Lets turn the table a bit, and say I ask the question when looking at an Andrew Gillum rally, "as the camera panned over Gillum's supporters there was nothing but a sea of black. So how can liberals be r****t when they live in a world that is all one color"?

You see what you want to see.

I say to both liberals and conservatives, stop playing identity politics. There are many who want to divide Americans by exploiting race, religion, a******n, migrants, etc.

Don't let yourself become part of that game. Neither side is pure and pristine. You have dirty, corrupt, immoral politicians on both sides. Use your brain and your conscience and examine each issue on it's merits, and not resort to labels and definitions such as liberal and conservative.

I linked the YouTube video of the 400 young black Conservatives leadership forum in DC above, including their meeting President Trump in the White House and speaking, then mingling and shaking hands.

I believe that's what Sharpton was making noise about to please his Democrat meal ticket.

That was because white people aren't inherently r****t whether they are Democrats or Republicans. Obama initially drew from all segments of the populace, those who were die hard Democrats, those who were flaunting their Liberalism, by v****g for a black man and those who were demonstrating their Conservatism, by v****g for what they thought would be a return to fiscal sanity. They were all wrong..

Contrast that with the Trump crowd. As you pointed out very few people of color despite the fact that they are demonstrably better off now than they were under Obama. If you want to level charges of r****m you might look at the motives of the audience that wasn't at Trump's rallies. They were free and open to everyone.
