I have nothing against the Irish, I am Hispanic/Native American, my Dad and I used to tell people we were “smoked Irish” as an ice breaker. No harm or insult intended.

None offense taken! I was joking. My brother and I used to tell our father that he was "shanty Irish" just to watch him explode. I'm not sure where the term Shanty Irish originated or even what it means, but it had the desired effect on him. I claim French, Irish and Native American and no telling what else may be in the woodpile. You know those darn French. But I am fully 100% a red blooded American and that's what I'm most thankful for.
