No, I agree and that doesn't happen that often with you, Sici. Sending troops down their without arms is a fool's errand, IMO. These guys some are going to be ready to do battle. I simply don't understand it.

We're not looking at a trained, disciplined and well equipped army coming at us. There are probably some among them who have weapons, probably handguns, maybe a disassembled AK and some ammo, or a Molotov cocktail, but even so, the Border Patrol agents are armed to the teeth. And BP has snipers. If some fool gangster or migrant opens fire, he'll have hell to pay. Probably. In addition, the BP and the troops have a distinct tactical advantage, a water barrier.

Bottom line, who the hell knows how this will play out. Maybe it will get messy, maybe not. Personally, I think if the Mexican authorities really want to improve Mexico's relationship with the US, they'd better get their s**t together and start helping us out with this s**t. They surely should know what kind of man they are dealing with, president Trump isn't going to back down an inch.

I heard Mattis say that they will be armed if their job function requires it normally.
As far as announcing to the (Liberal) public what the rules of engagement will be if fired upon, I really don't think they're going to announce that until or unless it happens.

Listening to Thomas Homen, he makes it sound like they're down there more for tactical support. BP will be ready and those who normally do tactical will join forces. That's the way I interpreted it.
