Why do politicians lie??

This is a problem that has me puzzled why would a man or woman lie at a press interview or campaign rallies or campaign ad!
When they, know anyone with a computer or phone can find them lying on the subject in a few minutes!
I have my own thoughts on this but I would like to hear from you!
Who are these politicians trying to reach with these lies and why do they think they can get away with it.

I think compulsive lying is a prerequisite to become a successful politician.

They lie because they know that the majority of the people will not check their statements. The few who do will be the same people all the time and the politician can claim bias, r****m, sexism or any other convenient, made up shibboleth, to deflect the charge of lying. When all else fails, they count on their acting abilities to project candor and openness while telling more lies. It works well with the unthinking portion of the populace and gets them re-elected.

By running against a far more evil POS with a proven track record of criminality as well as lying incessantly about everything. This coupled with a total disregard and contempt for the basic humanity and rights of anyone who opposed her made her a candidate I could run my dog against and win.

One thing for sure is that if you make it to congress, and you want to change things those already there will see to it that you get no help in your ree******n and try to get rid of you.

Don’t you think there is a reason why political statements aren’t checked? Maybe they have a hidden agenda. Ask Diane Feinstein. She knows the ropes when it comes to these types of schemes.
