It takes a special kind of h**e filled i***t to believe that peasant families fleeing violence quietly walking up to our border and requesting refugee status to save their lives are invaders.
The moment they crossed the border into Mexico, those "migrants" forfeit any possibility of gaining refugee status in the United States. None of them were referred for refugee status by the UNHRC nor did any of them apply at the US embassy in their home country. There is an extensive process in granting refugee status..
Asylum may be granted to people who are already in the United States and are unable or unwilling to return their home country because of persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution on account of race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or political opinion.
A look at some facts should dispel any thoughts that ALL of "the migrants are just sweet, innocent refugees looking for a better life."
Honduras has the highest crime rate of all nations on earth, Numero Uno. (Murder rate in Honduras is 90.7 per 100,000 people), Venezuela is 2nd, Belize is 3rd, El Salvador is 4th, and Guatemala is 5th. These five countries top the list. For perspective, the murder rate in the United States is 4.5 per 100,000 people.
There are several hundred drug cartels and drug smuggling operations throughout Mexico, Central America, and the northern countries in South America.
Since the c**p in 2009, Honduras has been a battleground between the Zeta and Pacific cartels operating out of Belize and El Salvador. Honduras is the point of arrival for drugs from Colombia, Venezuela, and Bolivia.
Guatemala has become a “bottleneck” through which 90 percent of the cocaine brought by Mexican cartels to the US passes. There are an estimated half million men and women working in the drug smuggling cartels in Honduras, Guatemala, Venezuela, El Salvador and Mexico.
The criminal gang, MS-13, was formed in Los Angeles in 1980 by El Salvadorans. The gang expanded throughout the US, Mexico and Central America. MS-13 is involved in human trafficking, smuggling i******s into the US, and some drug activity. MS-13 actively recruits members in El Salvador, their "coyotes" are active in Mexico.
Moreover, Islamic terror groups are constantly seeking new ways to fund their organizations. When private funding and donations began to dry up, many of these groups turned to lucrative criminal activities, primarily drug and human trafficking. Research and investigations into Iranian and Hezbollah penetration of Latin America revealed that Hezbollah now plays a central role in drug and human trafficking, gun running, illicit cigarette trade, trade-based money laundering, and terror financing.
Hezbollah’s infrastructure and activities are an integral part of a comprehensive and long-term strategy to export Iran’s Islamic Revolution to the Western Hemisphere and establish forward operating bases to be used against the United States. Corrupt political elites in Latin America have given these terror groups safe haven in which to operate. Moreover, the terrorists quickly realized they had a promising pool of recruits. Young unemployed Latino men LOOKING FOR JOBS and some already engaged in criminal activity were willing and able to either train as terrorists or to work in smuggling and trafficking activities.
With that in mind, consider this: these "caravans" are not the result of any planning and organizational efforts, there are no leaders, or leader, no general on a horse at the head of the column urging them on. No petitions or sign up sheets were circulated. These "caravans" formed almost overnight. They are the result of social networking--Facebook, Twitter, and bulk email spamming. The network info simply provided the purpose and a time and place with directions to get there. Interviews with migrants en route have shown this to be the case. People down there saw a Facebook page or a tweet or received an email and packed their bags.
Anyone who thinks there are no criminals in these mobs is either in denial or foolishly naive.
