I'm with you on that sentiment...
Regardless of which side is engaging in acts of violence it is no different than any other group's terrorism, violence does not help a side or a cause, it paints the whole group as that thing.
We saw half a million pacifists in pink pussy hats, yet when six guys broke windows and acted in a destructive way the right wants to portray the whole mob as a violence prone group. In fact the DOJ was prepared to mount a response appropriate to the whole group being visiously violent. And those six guys were not part of that movement, their purpose was to disrupt and paint that alternate picture.
People have to be adult and responsible enough not to go into a response based on the violent actions of a few unhinged people.
