C**p, I keep reading that the nation needs to get back to the constitution as the law of the land. Now intelligent people first have a wish, then make a plan to work at accomplishing that goal. I have never read a single step that could be taken to remove all laws and have the constitution be our law book.

What about a few 1000 things that did not exist when the founders who wrote the document existed?

Things like t***sportation, manufacturing, TV, the internet (about to become a huge issue), air traffic. So many more, how would we address these?

The founders were very liberal, but they could not see the future. How could your wish be accomplished?

I recall when I first heard the word, young and dumb, I had no idea what it meant. But the right wing of the time tagged it to Adlai Stevenson, who at the time was fighting to suppress his reputation as a womanizer in his campaign with Ike.

And just what the hell is wrong with the Constitution the way it is written? It is meant to keep the government out of our private business. No where does the Constitution suggest anything close to the various huge departments initiated by the over inflated government of the liberal c*******tic unions, the EPA, Dept. of Education, T***sportation, etc, etc, etc.
The constitution is designed in whole to protect the people from a tyrannical socialistic government hell bent on turning this nation into a dick-ta-torship!

Dutch, I will admit to not reading the Constitution since grade school.

My main question was how could we legally go back to only the constitution for a book of laws? What is the procedure if any?

Now I am also wondering, How many phrases can be used as literal laws to direct our nation. Not a general direction, how much a part of Govt. could or could not do, but to keep the nation as a law abiding adobe.

Also what about international law? How would we conduct trade international business, trade agreements such as the TTP.

Are these and domestic issues addressed in a way that could be used?

There would be much to consider besides the govt. perceived entry into our personal lives.

I can think of nothing wrong with the constitution, our liberal founders did a great job. But we now deal with a different world, 200 yrs after the document was put together. We have already had 27 amendments. Do we need more?

God gives us everything we need to make in this world he gave us life, food, everything and that is what our whole country is based on people to have Christin values so people would follow law based of the ten commandment and the bible that is why our country has been so Great and now everyone is pushing God away like 50 million a******ns that's worse then what Hitler did to the Jews, taking god out of schools government . You should watch the movie Monumental and learn what our founding fathers intended for our Country !!!! Congress use to have bibles printed up and give them the people !!!!!!!!!! Yes, if everyone lived as God wished us to, we would not need any other laws then the 10 commandments. But you may be godly and live by the good book, we have millions in our own nation who do not. Even Hammurabi needed a book of laws.

Not sure if you are asking me, but I am a protestant by upbringing, one of those stoic Norweign farmers, and I do believe in God and Creation, evolution describes the methods he used. I find my Church and others to me made to match what men wanted and somehow do not meet my needs for God, so I am stumbling around looking for a match to my beliefs.

A******ns, I am apposed to. But I do forcefully support birth control. A******ns do remain the womens (and her family, if any) choice and I and no one else has the right to tell her what to do with her body.

I do not think God needs a place in our schools.

Nor do I feel watching a movie of someones personal interpretation of what the founders wanted for our country would necessarily match my views. But it may provide a viewpoint I would find interesting. I will watch for the movie you mention.

Everything that Obama has done can be changed because he is not able to be president, stop EPA over regulation, get rid of Federal Reserve and go back to gold standard,no more forien aid , term limits on congress, limits on supreme court judges, Divorce is not what God wanted the brake down of the American family and the most important is God back in our country.
