I remember those days well. My grandmother was a great cook, my mother... not so much, but it was edible and nourishing. My grandmother used one of those "nasty" cast iron sk**lets to fry chicken, and everything else, and lard, OMG LARD! Best fried chicken I've ever had. Her pork chops and noodles were fantastic!

Now, with all the scientific manipulation and modulation, genetic modification, heavy and poisonous fertilization, over planting the soil, and all of that, the food I get at the supermarket has less than fifty percent of the nourishment it had when I was young. I sometimes wonder how I managed to live this long considering all the things that were bad for me and ever so dangerous in places where I played and the things we all played with, and all the OSHA violations! When we would get hurt, we either sucked on the hurt finger or went home and put a little iodine on it and a bandage! Once in a while we needed a doctor to put a cast on a broken bone or stitch us up, but that was seldom.

Now I have to take "supplements" just to maintain a reasonable balance of vitamins and minerals to try and keep my i****e s****m healthy enough to survive all the poisons "Big Pharma" throws at me through the "modern" medical system. The "modern" medical system k**led my wife who had survived 50 years of ME, which was no small task! I'm beginning to think that science and their research is going commercial and inventing new v***ses and bacteria just to increase their profits; after all, after a hundred or more years of their research, they still can't prevent, or cure, the common cold! Unless "Big Pharma" and the FDA is knocked out of the picture, there will never be a cure for much of anything, especially cancer, because they only treat the symptoms of a disease, never the root cause, because it isn't profitable to do so. Most doctors just continually add more prescription drugs to treat new symptoms caused by the previous onslaught of previous drugs, and soon you have to find a doctor who cares enough to unwind the mess other doctors have gotten you into or you either go insane or die.

Many "dwellers of big cities" don't know what a farm is, or a cow, or a pig; they think vegetables, milk, chicken, beef, and pork, just magically appear in a supermarket, and the money to buy it comes from a generous government! It won't be too long before the Deep State runs off all the smaller farmers and ranchers, then replaces the big ones with synthetic food factories, and we'll have to be satisfied with only synthetic foods; maybe even Soylent Green and a synthetic nutrient pill to keep us alive and able to work, and a few Soma pills to keep us happy and content so we won't revolt against those in power! Well, that's my opinion, and I'll stick to it! There just is no free lunch because someone has to work and pay for it, and a democratic Socialist Utopia just ain't what it's cracked up to be, as it's more like mob chaos; unless, of course, you are among the Controlling Elite (the King, his Gestapo, and dedicated jailers), and even that won't last too long because people will revolt as the wealth runs out and hunger/famine kicks in!

Have a nice day before your health gets destroyed by "progress, profits, and the "Progressives!"

And that's the way the world will remain, until we get fed up with it enough to do something about the Progressive socialism and return our Republic to a limited Constitutional Sovereign Nation! Here's to making the USA great again!

Do you mean the day America died?
There is no one day.
It was in bits & pieces.

There was the American dream!
The dream that every one could have.
A place of their own.
A place where they really belonged.

It died when we let others have our power.
When we gave it to the political parties.

How do we get it back?
WE STOP LETTING POLITICAL PARTIES USE THE TRUST WE HAVE IN THEM TO GATHER THE REWARDS IN A FEW HANDS.
POLITICAL PARTIES THAT HAVE DIVIDED US AN ONLY WEAKING US AS INDIVIDUALS.

So we are truly in a Take It or Leave It Position.
Some take & others (Most of us) are left) leaving it.

When we get fat, dumb and happy and don't v**e or just v**e for the same guy we v**ed for 2 or 6 yeras ago then we lose what we have.

People do matter, but so do parties and their leadership that whips the rest in line. Nice sounding words from candidates are not often heard again once the person takes office.

I see the party's as just a box, it's the folks inside that make it.
The smart folks that watch what these people say and do over time understand who are the bad apples and will never v**e for them a second time.
That part is the shortcoming for most people, hell half the people in America today can not name the VP or their congressmen. Is that sad?

You are right on the farms, in many states you can do to jail if you grow veggies and sell them to the public.

Deep State C*******t control at its best! Damn shame one can't go buy a bottle of milk complete with cream on top for whipping from a dairy farm. Now the only place to get real bulls**t is from the government.

Maybe that's what's wrong with my tomato plants, I need to put some government bull s**t around them.

Wouldn't recommend that Capt Jack, it might make the tomatoes bitter, or cause them to rot from the inside out.
