What a miserable, lugubrious performance of this old classic. Off key, off pitch, off tempo, with glissandos introduced where none ever were in the melody. Most of it sounded like a funeral dirge when it wasn't being irritating by being flat.

This performance would have ruined my day. Had I been on that train and they were going to continue, I would have gotten off at the next station.

You old grouch, you know too much to enjoy some simple things. You don't have to be 'in key' to make a joyful noise. Smile and the world will smile with you. Bet you still loved your kids when they pooped in their diapers.

If there is one thing I wish I could do, and can't, is sing. I sound like fingernails on a chalkboard. I have to sing 'so low' no one hears me.

Neither can I. I can remember my third grade music teacher asking me not to sing when all the others did. However I grew up with a love for music and no ability to make it myself. But I can darn well recognize crappy performances when done by others and I can appreciate where my teacher was coming from in asking me to remain silent.

Interestingly enough, everyone talks in their sleep at one time or another. My daughters insist I sing "Show Tunes" as in arias from musicals or operettas in my sleep and they claim I'm not bad. For me it is like claims of snoring, I never heard myself snore so it is all just a story.

Welcome to the club. I think I know when I've been snoring, my throat is always dry when I wake up. Only happens when I sleep on my back.

I'm still waiting for your flash mob. I have every intention of traveling to see it first hand.
