Ever since about the time Obama first was elected, Saturday Night Live has turned into a simpering liberal love fest and has never ceased to trash conservatives at every opportunity in the name of humor, of which the show no longer has any. Then when Trump got elected, the show went full bore on him and made fun of him in every single opening sketch, again very few of which showed any semblance of humor. Now last night of course they ripped into Kavanaugh with the usual unfunny cliches and even claimed that he lied, which is a liberal canard that has yet to be proved. I finally got to the point where I had to turn of the show and delete it from my DVR, as I just couldn't stand it any more. It's really too bad that it to come to this, because the show actually used to be funny. I don't know if I'll ever watch it again, at least not for a long time.

I know what you mean. I use to record that show, after the 3rd show they kept it up I stopped recording it or watching it since. I won't watch the late shows either. I am beginning to think that except for the yellow dog pinko Democrats they probobly lost viewership.

Even Chevy Chase, one of the funniest comedians to ever be on the show, said that SNL has deviated so far to the left where every episode has been degraded into the trashing of political conservatives concluding that “SNL is no longer funny and entertaining anymore.”

Time for Lorne Michaels to retire.

If you don’t get a chuckle out of Baldwin playing the i***t Pumpkinfuhrer you don’t have a soul.

I never really enjoyed that show. So now it’s no loss for me, but it is turning many brains to mush.

Words from the most hollow of the depraved!.! The joke was the Al Jolson wannabe who duped the simple minded from 2008 to 2016. "Obastard" with the Dumbo listening devises.

Darrell Hammond did it much better.

I admit I laughed the first time I saw Alec do Donald, but it became obvious very quickly that the tone was going to mean and demeaning all the time. SNL used to know how to do satire about all sides. They leaned left, but they weren't so locked in that they couldn't show the peccadilloes of the left. I used to love Robert De Niro's depiction of the US General listing the names of the terrorists on the watch list. THAT was funny. Now? F Trump? Really Robert. Get a new writer, dude, you're starting to suck. And Alec. Even he has said he's getting a little tired of the character. He still h**es Trump, but I think he's starting to realize how unfunny the whole thing has become. The Weekend Update with Colin Jost and Michael Che is unfunny as well. That used to be my favorite part of the show (Chase, Miller, McDonald, so many great ones). Now each week we get the see the results of the 2 of them trying to come up with the better Trump slam. It's getting old guys.
I watched SNL early (Belushi, Akroyd, Chase, Murray, Morris, Curtin, Newman, Radnor, and a few others) and over the years they've gone from incredibly funny and inventive through many phases. Some casts were awful, some were on a par with the 1975 originals. Right now, I see talent, but I see an attitude that is stifling what that talent could be realizing. I guess it's a sign of the times. Is there anything that Hillary's loss has NOT affected?

You don't have a soul if you think that is funny.
