The case against Kavanaugh's appointment airtight

Let's begin by giving Kavanaugh a pass on the uncorroborated sexual assault allegations by three women. Let's say their statements were mistaken, misleading, or outright lies and, what the heck, let's even threw in a well-planned conspiracy by the democrats.

Let's secondly give Kavanaugh a pass on the fact he appeared to lie under oath about hid drinking. Two of his close Yale classmates and drinking-buddies described the nature of Kavanaugh's drinking in these terms: “drank heavily” and was a “sloppy drunk"; “deeply troubled by what has been a blatant mischaracterization by Brett himself”; “frequent” and “heavy”; "often belligerent and aggressive,” (he got in bar fight and was questioned by police); would “slur” his words and would be seen “staggering.” Let's say they are just jealous liars.

Let's give another pass for his apparent lie about Ford's witnesses. He said they exonerated him, claiming they said it never happened. The didn't say that; they said they did not remember him or the event. Let's say Kavanaugh had been misinformed about their testimony or simply misunderstood what they had said.

Here is the airtight case: the nature of a judge. No matter what the circumstances or conditions, a judge, especially a Supreme Court judge, MUST REMAIN calm, thoughtful, impartial, open-minded, respectful, and mature. Kavanaugh has made it strikingly clear during his Senate Testimony that he is none of these things. He totally blew "impartiality" and "calm" with his spittle-flecked slanderous rant accusing the Democrats of wild and unfounded conspiracy theories. And then claimed "a Federal judge should be independent, not swayed by politics." He just disqualified himself with that comment by his attack on the Left. He cried about lifting weights with a friend back in HS. His visible anger undermining "thoughtful" and "mature." This is not a man to sit on the highest court of the land.

We will need to wait for the FBI to determine, if it is possible, who was being honest and forthright in their testimony.

Now to your major complaint. He was emotional. Yes he was angry when he defended himself against the accusations made by Ford. And it was clear that most Democrats in that room had already sided with her..... Tell me, if you lost your job and reputation because someone falsely accused you of a horrible act, would you be angry? Now then tell me, if he had come out without any emotion, would you call him a Narcissist, Psychopath, or Sociopath? If you are unsure the difference, here is an excellent explanation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6dv8zJiggBs Pay close attention to the difference between psychopath and sociopath.... I believe that Ford is a psychopath. Indeed, part of her conditions to appear before the Committee was it had to be public (televised) and Judge K could not be in the room. And when the FBI comes back with their recommendation, it will come out. She planned to do Judge K the greatest harm possible, to publicly humiliate him.

Judge K's emotions, to include when tears were apparent, were genuine. However, Ms. Ford's emotions were an act. Notice that she did not have to wipe a tear from her eyes and trust me, women do not want their mascara to run....so they will wipe away tears rather quickly. But, not once did you see her wipe a single tear. You have bragged that you have worked with people who have "problems" so I encourage you to watch her testimony again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OZ7ovA37u-0 This time watch with an open mind...and also keep in mind she has mental problems aside from those she attributes to Judge K.

If he behaved in the calm manner you described then you would be saying he must be guilty because an innocent person would be outraged. No matter what temperament he displayed you would find a way to criticize it.

Far from rising above a partisan attack, the nominee dropped any pretense of a judicious demeanor to proclaim himself the victim of “a calculated and orchestrated political hit, fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 e******n, fear that has been unfairly stoked about my judicial record, revenge on behalf of the Clintons and millions of dollars in money from outside left-wing opposition groups.”

After that angry opening statement, denying the accusations he says have been falsely leveled against him, he evaded questions about his drinking, and lied, it seems clear to me, about his teenage sex talk. It’s that last one that will do him in, fittingly enough, if the FBI isn’t afraid to do its job after these last few years.

He cracked under a stressful situation, plain and simple. Made a partisan rant against the Democrats. We need a judge with a far better demeanor and "independent," as he claimed.

I already made my case about the nature of a judge, especially one for the Supreme Court. But the anger, which you seem to think is just natural and all normal human beings would act like that, is way off. It was unnecessary and revealed how easily he is overwhelmed by stress. Responding with dignity and respect rules out such anger, makes it look peevish and childish. It was biased instead of being impartial. It was angry instead of being calm and thoughtful, which, I personally, would have found more believable. It was immature instead of sober demeanor.

He was supposed to act with thoughtful dignity: he did not! He could have been judge-like and said, "I am here to answer allegations made by Christine Blasey Ford. For the record I want to state I did not do what I was accused of. Yet I have little doubt that Christian Blasey Ford did suffer at one time the attack she describes; but she is mistaken that it was me. This has been a very trying time for me and my family, so let's move on and I will answer your questions." Dignity does not need anger; just the opposite. I am not saying that anger is necessarily wrong but we are talking a Supreme Court nominee who is to remain impartial and independent in his thinking and actions: Kavanaugh did not.
