Just Wondering

Have any of our sitting senators considered the can of worms that they have opened up by allowing public testimony on unproven charges that are past the statue of limitations? Just because, in this case only, the testimony involves a judicial candidate, doesn't mean that, somewhere down the road, all candidates for all positions might face the same microscopic public background search, news stories, and prejudging. And then again, I wonder, how do congressional members and past presidents acquire multiple million dollars homes, when according to at least one such member says that he cannot afford to rent a place to stay in Washington, DC on his current salary?

Don't know about you, but I would have been beyond delighted at any time in my life to have been paid $174,000, especially for a less than fulltime job.

This is an entirely different matter with a supreme court justice, it's worth getting it right. There are a dozen reasons to deny him the seat besides as you say old grievances.

Suppose Kavenaugh doesn't make it. Do you think the democrats abd liberals are just going to quietly accept Trumps next conservative constitutional proposed judge? Of course not, and why would they? If they win this farce, it will simply encourage them to go farther. Lord, please have them lose the midterms!!
