When Ford was asked who she talked to about this problem and how she decided to retain a lawyer, she said she talked to her "beach people". She's a surfer. She was h*****g around with her "beach people" and they were telling her to call a Congressman, or a lawyer or a newspaper. She chose a newspaper.
I do believe that Ford wasn't the "leaker" to the Washington Post. But a "dude" from the beach might have been.

She has a Ph.D. and can't figure out how to contact her Congressperson? She also revealed she hosts Google interns in her home with two front doors, that was an interesting comment. Her two lawyers had to confer if she was being represented pro bono. Then Sheila Jackson Lee, of Houston, Tx slipped her lawyer an envelope, maybe it was a check to pay for their services. Kavanaugh also received a note, I wonder if it was from Trump? Maybe the "beach people" and the "Google interns" are the same people? Just a few things that made me go, hum, what was that about. She also sure has flown a lot for someone who is afraid to fly.

People are setting up go fund me sites for her that are snowballing, maybe she hit the lottery

I have a feeling a fairly large percentage of that will go to attorneys. They've been on her case since early August...a lot of billing time there. And now that the FBI is involved, more delays = more billing time for her.
