Only my opinion.
Anyone who has ever been in any kind of a 'fight' knows the importance of timing, in defense or offense.
Judge Kavanaugh was nominated to the SCOTUS on July 9th, 2018, three months before any of these attacks.
Anyone with a legitimate beef about that appointment should have come forward in a timely fashion, as Blasey Ford did?
Why was Blasey Ford's letter held in secret for more than two months? Why did the rest wait until after the hearings would have been over?
This was a perfectly timed political assassination plot, calling for a highly partisan (Guerrilla) '#metoo' campaign against Kavanaugh.
That strategy in now paying off in a very big way.
As surely as night follows day, in a last second assault a final wave of 'partisan volunteers' jump out of their 'hidey holes'!
All of the accusers know that as long as they say nothing under oath, they may safely say almost anything.
Want more evidence? There are already calls to postpone any further hearings, pending a full investigation of all allegations!
Calling "Time Out" with seconds on the clock, until next season, with new players.
Is the game over (assuming that Democrats re-take the Senate), and as long as no one lies to the FBI, they have it in the bag.
It's called the "Hail Moore" play: A key element of which is a full scale participation by a partisan media.
This folks, is "The Swamp" in it's own version of 'Our Finest Hour', or 'Dunkirk' depending upon the outcome.
The FBI now needs to fully investigate everyone of these allegations, and interview any possible witnesses to the alleged offensive behavior.
Upon conclusion of that investigation, every case of false or conflicting testimony should be brought before a Grand Jury!
Full disclosure of the unredacted results of these investigations in a prompt and timely manner should be mandatory.
This "Game" needs to be played out to the bitter end, no matter where the chips may fall!
These days nobody that I don't personally know has any serious credibility unless they are under legal oath.

Gatsby! I totally agree with your post. I also believe this has to be investigated by the FBI. Then there should be no problem with agreeing with the investigation on completion. I also think that the Democrats and Republicans should agree to confirm the appointment of Kavanaugh if and when these allegations have not been proven to be factual.
