With all the feeding frenzy going on about the Democratic attempt to smear SCOTUS nominee Kavenaugh, I thought I would mention that today in 1789, the Judiciary Act establishing the Supreme Court was signed into law by President Washington. The Court was originally six justices and the first Chief Justice was John Jay.
