Really? Newspaper Group Gives Maxine Waters “Leadership Award”

The National Newspaper Publishers Association, apparently having gotten together and decided they needed to do something to damage the reputation of the media even further, honored California Congresswoman Maxine Waters with a “National Leadership Award” on Friday. Waters, best known for ranting nonsensically about President Trump on MSNBC and other cable outlets, accepted the award with a typical speech filled with her usual low-IQ musings.
“I want you, in wh**ever way that you do, to please allocate all of the front pages to the get-out-the-v**e operations in our communities,” Waters said, either not understanding what newspapers are for or, perhaps, knowing only too well.
The NNPA is a collection of black newspaper publishers, according to Diversity Inc. Seems a shame they couldn’t find a black leader in America a little more worthy of an award than Waters, but hey, maybe they just wanted some prime entertainment to go with their dinner. Say what you will about Wacky Maxxy, she’s not boring.
“It is no secret that I don’t like this president,” Waters said. “I knew that this president should not be in the White House when I saw the way that he conducted himself in the primary campaign. No, I don’t like him. Yes, I have worked against him. No, I didn’t go to his inauguration. No, I didn’t go to his State of the Union. No, I do not go to the White House. No, I do not engage with him.”
Reports have it that the applause and cheering in the room swelled to a crescendo while Maxine was doing this little routine.
“All I want for him and about him is to be impeached and get him out of the White House!” she yelled, clearly there to play her greatest hits.
She added a new song to her repertoire, though, and this one confirmed what we’ve long suspected: That the people who h**e Trump the most…actually just want to rid Washington of Republicans in general.
“Knock off the first one, and then go after the second one,” she said, implying they would impeach Mike Pence next. “We have the power. We have the numbers, but we’ve got to understand our power and we’ve got to use our power.”
Oh, Maxine, you should probably spend a little more time trying to “understand your power” and a little less time picking up phony awards from useless organizations. Then again, knowing how limited you are in the intelligence department, such a quest would probably be fruitless.
