My Catholic Christian spiritual focus in this OPP religious forum article and fourth final section of the "Imitation of Christ" deals with the Eucharist, and sheds light on the orthodox Catholic devotion which formed the author's faith it's a must read for any Christian who wants to walk more closely to Christ.

It's text and audio version is deeply inspirational and highly conducive to loving and serving and surrendering to God.

Enjoy and be spiritually inspired.

It is a beautiful powerful spiritual book is ("Not") written from a dogmatic "point of view," "Do this or God will punish you." This classic is one of the very best daily devotional books you could ever hope to own.

It is very helpful for believers who sometimes need to be reminded of humility, to be imitators of Christ and not be sanctimoniously, and to better to experience true repentance and to further learn about the Jesus and the Trinity, and many daily lessons that we need to be reminded about.

But the book is written in a personal loving writing style that if the reader goes further, it gives an internal logic of its own.

And it comprises 114 chapters in four books, à Kempis spiritually call's us to imitate the way of Christ, to learn from his life and virtues so that we in turn might reflect them to others. ‘Let us make it, then, our constant practice to meditate upon the life of Christ.’

The Imitation of Christ is not just one book; it is a collection of resources now compiled into one book.

The Imitation includes four books that vary in both length (book two has only 12 chapters, and book three has 59) and themes.

a. Book one contains “useful reminders for the spiritual life.” Books one are full of practical and straightforward advice for spiritual growth

b. Book two contains “suggestions drawing one toward the inner life.” Books two are full of practical and straightforward advice for spiritual growth

c. Book three includes advice “of inner comfort.” Jesus exchange of intimate words, and worshipful prayer and response a simple dialogue between an unnamed disciple.

d. Book four is “the book on the Sacrament the Holy Eucharist.” Jesus exchanges are oftentimes are called the "Devotio Moderno" which stresses the inner life of the individual.

It s a masterful written work of Christian meditation. à Kemsis himself once wrote; ‘Do not be influenced by the importance of the writer, and whether his learning be great or small; but let love of pure truth draw you to read. Do not inquire, “Who said this?” but pay attention to what is said’.

"You'll go deeper into a prayerful meditation practice's and provide a way that you personally can and often will avoid our modern daily life's-pitfalls."

And presents the idea that the study of Christ’s life and the emulation of his example's is the highest pursuit that man and women can achieve.

à Kempis's timely classic, is deeply challenging, this 15th century masterpiece book, has stood the test of six centuries and remains a treasure of spiritual guidance.

And is intended to surprisingly re-fresh your spiritual mind and allows the reader to develop needed spiritual ideas that go beyond the obvious.

It written in a special "Point of View" that seems to work on the reader's mind, in a very needed subtle way, so that if you open the book feeling agitated about the details of his or her complicated life, they often forget completely whatever thought was troubling them.

à Kemphi's remind's the spiritual reader, that life offers something more deeper, than those daily trivial life's living details.

You will feel much calmer, see things more clearly, and feel more motivated to focus on what really matters in your life, and let everything else take its own natural course.

à Kemphi's level of spiritual instruction gives the reader a more deeper spiritual enlightenment, of Catholic teaching and structure, to ones outer life, to facilitate development meaning to our spiritual faithful personal inner life.

Often I reflect on the intended Gospel meaning of Saint John 8:12 words and meaning, and "Always keep this book close to your heart, and you will never go astray."

It never gets "old," and it's refreshing, penetrating words always "speak to me" in new and inviting ways, as if it were the first time reading that particular passage every time!

Published by TAN Books, it is the same trusted and true old translation that is found in the beloved old 'Confraternity of the Precious Blood' versions ... to meditate upon as you read.

It is easy enough for most people to comprehend, and the older writing style has much artistic, poetic charm that is often times lost in some of the newer 'up-to-date' English translations.

Remember, this book is the second most translated and published book in history, next to the Holy Bible !

A different edited version by Clare L. Fitzpatrick, is an excellent version, but the translation is much more modern and more readable by the everyday layperson, or anyone who wishes to hear this timeless wisdom in a more easily accessible version without the 'thee's, thou's, and shall's" of the aforementioned version.

Also the Logos Educational Edition, Bill Creasy narrated by Don Ranson, who sounds like an old gentleman with wisdom and maturity, with a deeper voice, and no distracting accent.

I also recommend the audible edition this way I could read and/or listen while reflecting while listening in a car, traveling, or relaxing at home

But, for me to be truly enlightened and touched by these timeless words of wisdom of the Spiritual Life, I recommend buying both versions, and absorbing both as to get a better understanding of these "Holy" and spiritual guiding words.

Thomas à Kempis writings were written to give guidance to the young novitiates of his monastic order where he served as Novice Master for a time, but please do not let that turn you away from the holy and life changing power of his spiritually uplifting direction that still speaks to many today.

If you have any call to any form of holiness, or just want to enhance and reinvigorate your daily spiritual life, there is no way that you can go wrong with Thomas à Kempis and this, his most well known and loved body of work.

Please . . . forward the URL website written word, audio, and video versions to all friends relatives and all Christians.

If you want to further your spiritual growth and enhance and to others Christians in their personal growth.

This will inspire devotional gifts and grace to Our Lord and to all Christian's and to Catholic spiritual closeness to Jesus Christ.

With all agape love, and with spiritual Christian belief,

With all Christian Catholic sincerity,

My Catholic Christian spiritual focus in this OPP ... (show quote)

===============
"The Imitation of Christ" by Thomas Kempis is surely what I desire to have. This is closest to the Holy Bible. Christ in my life far exceeds anything else, if I have to walk with God.
