I'm still trying to figure out why paying rich corporate farm owners NOT to farm is capitalism, but paying starvation wages to someone who can't work is socialism. I'm trying to figure out why giving billions in tax credits to oil and gas companies is good capitalism, while they tax my Social Security.

The Govt. spent nearly a trillion dollars bailing out the financial industry after their criminal activity blew up the world, but refused to bail out Porto Rico after the same criminals bankrupted the island.

If you live in Arkansas, you shouldn't be taxed on Social Security. Only 13 states have taxes on Social Security income: Colorado, Connecticut, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont and West Virginia. When the beneficiary of government handout is a group you like, you call it capitalism and patriotism.
When the beneficiary of government handout is a group you don't like, you call it socialism.
Somehow you can't see the difference which means YOU are the one who isn't smart enough to see the difference.

Maybe you are a farmer; but even the ag folks were against strumpet's tariffs. Tariffs are not products of the free market and capitalism. I would bet that you use the postal system and listen to weather reports from NOA. If you don't already collect social security and medicare, I bet you will plug right into those "socialist" systems rather than be a "true patriot" and reject them. Social Security and Medicare are not hand-outs - we paid taxes for them with every single pay check - in my case for 45 years. The government promised I would get those taxes back when I retired, and I am. Look at it as a mandatory savings account - I'm really glad I have them now.
