Remember when Obama said this, "“The problem is that the way Bush has done it over the last eight years, is to take out a credit card from the bank of China in the name of our children, driving up our national debt from $5 trillion in the first 42 presidents. I think the debt was at 23 trillion when he finished his disastrous term, 8 years later. And now, he's going to take credit fo an economy that is moving forward with great vigor???

The debt is the only marker republicans have to use, because every other indicator proves success.
Bush left a deficit budget of $1.3 trillion dollars. If there is a deficit the debt is going to go up, there is nothing that can be done about it except reduce the deficit.
Your point if it's to point out the debt it's ridiculous. So wh**ever Obama did to the debt Trump is headed for increasing it worse. The only reason the debt makes a talking point at all is that the right is far too ignorant to understand what drives the debt.
