How perceptive.

Seeing you 'blue' forces me to have a midnight snack to overcome my guilt.

What happened to the cute kitten with the sun-hat? I was quite fond of the little darling. :?

It was an Easter bonnet. We are doing cherry blossoms for a brief while.

The cherry delight in your photo may help my waistline 'blossom'. :hunf:

I can live with that!

But, now, I must habitate with the Sandwoman. She lures me into her 'den'.

Sleep well, ALL.

hprinze: I can sympathize with your aggravation. One of my sons used to be involved in Spelling Bee's, and was very good. In working with him, studying, and practicing I became very good myself.
However, since those years I been reading letters and such of people with poor spelling ability and after years of this- it takes it's toll.

Many of us are very quick typists, (myself 75wpm), but on this forum where you think even quicker than your typing, misspellings happen.
I know the difference between your/you're, but in the height or frustration of getting my post or comment typed out- sometimes the spelling takes second place.
If it weren't for auntiE, and another who commented on my comma use I'd still be paying very little to my Grammar and Spelling.

Posts like yours however, do bring some of us back to writing and typing legibly and correctly! Thank you!

Are you saying that my getting upset or that I'm gettig upset is about nothing?

Either way, it is a fine example that the typical college graduate is not capable of writing a sentence without incorrectly spelling at least one or two words.

If we are going to discuss major irritating grammatical issues, do you have any idea what the most OVERUSED word is? Hmmmm...It would be "got". You could not have said, "HaHa you were caught"? I may start a forum on that word.

====================================
There is an abundance of words that people screw up here on this forum. Some are

there their they're

to too two

coarse course

sight site cite

There are many, many more but I won;t make a long list.

Other things I see so often are misuse of "that" and "who".
People are who, things are that. People WHO use the word THAT is incorrect are many.

Lastly, adding apostrophe and s ('s) to a singular noun does not make a plural. It makes a possessive.

Enough of my rant. It is just a minor irritation that grates a little on my nerves.

I realize there are some who believe this is nit picking and don't think it is important. I won't argue that point, but will say that those things make the poster look ignorant and detract from their credibility, at least to me, maybe not to others.
