If someone is protesting something, anything, if they are respecting something by "taking a knee", and it has been made 100% clear what it is that taking a knee is about, and everyone with a brain knows what it's about, that's what it is about, not...

This taking a knee is not meant as a disrespect to the f**g or the country, and just because a bunch of dimwits perceive that to be what it is does not begin to make it what it is.
What is taking a knee mean in church, if atheists want to say that they perceive it to be a disrespect to Jesus, does that become what it means or does it mean what those doing it think it means, a sign of respect?
Those taking a knee are being 100% clear about why and what it means to them...that is what it means.

Nobody forgets what happened that day, yet very few people have a clue what it was that happened except for terrorists crashing airliners into buildings.
What people did forget was that the Pentagon got a free pass on the report on the Two Trillion Dollars they couldn't account for, the whole team involved in the two year report died in a direct hit of their offices at the pentagon, and all of the million plus documents had been stored at multiple buildings that were destroyed.
Nobody forgets "what happened", different people saw and were impacted by different things.
