Is it a little too late to get away from all v****g machines?

This story may well fail to let people from the left know what they are doing, well what their leaders are getting by with. H*****g chads etc. be damned, I still believe that the only method is still pencil and paper. Well, now the Dems did elect one in Minnesota recently by finding stacks of b****ts in cars for weeks after the e******n. We finally got rid of him not long ago. However, that one did prove that pencil and paper can d**g e******ns out even though it is harder to c***t with.

I'm with the hard b****t, electronic systems, especially the older ones that were designed to make e******n tampering harder and that have hard backups that can be recounted are being used in states that refuse to upgrade their vulnerable systems. There are key states that fit that profile.

And why the white house shot down the bipartisan bill to beef up cyber and e******n electronic security and upgrade systems to more reliable ones with hard backups wouldn't take a genius to figure out. The GOP does not want to lose their electronic edge. These are states where some have larger numbers of registered democrats, but larger GOP controls of their house and senates, thereby control of their e******n processes and v****g systems. Just upgrade their frigging systems so that everyone can have some degree of faith that numbers aren't being screwed with. The house is going to come down to a few seats, and all states need to have similarly reliable systems, not dinosaurs that don't even have backup systems. It isn't an argument about who's c***ting, it's an argument about just fixing it to where there can't be an argument. End the possibility.

Georgia cites the cost of upgrading the system, the bipartisan bill that got shot down by the WH would help these states fund their upgrades, thereby eliminating the excuse that is being used by these wayward states.

These states aren't saying we'll upgrade if the feds pay for it. Their dialog is no we can't upgrade because it's too expensive...end of discussion. There are something like 14 states that have not upgraded to better systems that have hard backup and can be recounted or checked easily.

I have always been against any kind of "hard b****t" as you call it especially with electronic systems. Especially the older ones that were so easy to tamper with. I remember the early 60s when Nebraska inserted a system like you seem to like. Three boys in my classes who lived in Nebraska came along with a story about punching in about 60 v**es the night before the e******n and its seemed that nobody ever knew it. Don't you remember nearly every one of those states like you talk about having many people who said they v**ed for McCain only to see the machine change over to Obama? It happened time and again in machine states but never in paper b****t states.

Do you remember the Florida h*****g chads debacle? Punch pieces of paper was too easy to screw up that way. The problem back then was that a number of magazines and newspapers came in to count b****ts from the Florida e******n and found that there were just too many mistakes made from counting chads that didn't come out of the b****ts. I have been offered a chance to v**e on a machine for years but have never taken a chance on that fool system.
