He could not act on the documents until they were released to him. Rosenstein has stonewalled handing over these documents for a year. But, now we will get a look at the documents.... This is another, of many, steps President Trump has taken in the right direction.

He will go, but it would be political suicide to fire him before Mueller delivers his work to Congress. We know, or should suspect by now, Mueller has nothing to hang on the President.
But, should Rosenstein get fired... then we can kiss not just midterms, but 2020 e******n goodbye. Even if he elected to step down, it would not be good for Conservatives. For now, it is best to let him stay. I think Rosenstein is spineless and like a dandelion seeds goes where the wind blows. If President Trump realizes this and provides him favorable winds in the right direction, the battle will be won and then he (Rosenstein) can be either replaced or guided for the time being.

I believe you are correct as usual and that Trump is doing just as you suggest. Rosenstein is being investigated right now. He's not even allowed to sign off on any FISA warrants.
