WASHINGTON (AP) — Longtime Washington Post reporter Bob Woodward's new book on President Donald Trump's first 18 months in office includes some incendiary comments attributed to the president and key former and current White House staffers. Trump and other officials have denied some accounts. A look at some of the most explosive passages: White House Chief of Staff John Kelly on working for Trump: "He's an i***t. It's pointless to try to convince him of anything. He's gone off the rails. We're in crazytown."---MORE-----

Trump is an impetuous, obnoxious, buffoon who abuses and pits his staff against one another. His staff have little respect for the man and are for the most part serving for self aggrandizement rather than out of a sense of duty to the nation. My gut feeling is that with all that is going on people inside Trumps camp will finally become fed up and bring him down. It is just a matter of who in the pack of sycophants he has surrounded himself with has the guts and is willing to make the sacrifice for the good of the country.
Best leave it to the few Republicans with a pair to remove him at the right moment. That’s how Nixon went down. Democrats should be patient, not involved in his demise and above all else not be seen to celebrate. This country needs to heal and that will take some time. Our next President needs to be as much a uniter as Trump was a divider.

Kevy boy, it just amazes me to no end that you would know just how his staff feels about him, did you work for Trump before? How would you know this? you are amazing on how you know so much about Trump's personal life!

"Gut feelings" are precisely how the majority of Progressives make decisions. Reasonable people realize that making decisions based on emotions and later trying to justify them with logic leads to wrong choices. Furthermore, I suspect if you called a couple Marine generals surrounding Mr. Trump, "sycophants," they would jam a fist down your throat, capture your gonads, rip upwards and justifiably, in their minds, neuter you in short order. (I reserve the right to modify and change my remarks)

The loyalty of you Trump supporters is interesting but by any measure this President is under siege from all sides, not just Democrats or the far left. Frankly if none of these stories is true including the NYT anonymous op-ed then why the shrill denials? These stories are not proven but based on Trumps own public behavior they have an unnervingly authentic ring to them. His critics should back off at this point and let nature take its course. Trump only opens his mouth to change feet and eventually his adopted party will get over their timidity and do the right thing. Nixon’s own people removed him from office so hopefully the Trump extraction will be as painless as possible for the good of the country.

Just one question: on what grounds, what charge is President Trump to be removed from office? Be specific.

You mean no gloating to the jackasses that gloated about him winning in the first place?
Reminds me of the 49er/Dolphins superbowl. I was picking one military brother up in the Oakland airport before the game, there were tons of Dolphins fans with dorky little dolphin hats and jerseys. I was teasing them and saying what a shame it was for them to travel so far just to watch them get beat. Taking him out to the SF airport after the game that the 49ers won, it was a somber bunch of dolphins fans. There is no way I'd have teased or taunted them after a loss.

Misuse of foundation funds is a good enough one...charging US business people $200k for Mar A Lago memberships for an opportunity to talk to him is another...charging foreign dignitaries and their entourage membership fees and block room charges would be another...lying to the public about knowing about a payment for an NDA would be another that violates a direct statute concerning public trust...firing Comey "to make the Russia thing go away" as he stated on multiple occasions...

And how does a right base that can look at any article and disregard it before even reading it not apply to your criteria?
