Since it seems no one else wants to address this, I will. NIKE has signed him bringing back their old slogan, " Just Do It ". Do what ? Protest America? Is this the image this company wants to portray ? He says, " He has sacrificed ". All that I have read he has been the one that made the choice to "sacrifice" his career. My understanding is that he grew up in a very affluent family. Was drafted Pro, making millions. Then throws it all away when he sees that he isn't all that he thought he was. Started a movement that is pretty much destroying the NFL. I love the Steelers. Have not watched Pro Football since he started all this and will not till the NFL stops this insanity. Thank God for SEC. He turned down two teams that were willing to sign him. Why ? He wanted more money. So is about the protest or the money ? Lets talk about "sacrifice". What about that fine BLUE LINE that he deplores so much. The men and women that are on the streets of our cities every day trying to keep the people that still love and honor this Country safe ? What about that fine RED LINE, the men and women that risk their lives every day trying to save people from the flames of fire ? What about the EMT's that respond to a 911 and give all they can to save a life ? What about our Military ? Men, women, boys and girls willing to serve. Willing to deploy and risk their lives so that he has the right to protest ? How many times has he given more than what he has taken ? I have seen war. Humanity at it's worst. I have lost people, I see their faces every day. The only thing that he has lost is what he has thrown away. So NIKE I hope your stock falls. Mr. Kaepernick I hope that some day you will realize that not only have you destroyed your life but all those that have followed you.

Nike has so many others to choose from and they pick a loser, their stock dropped today and i hope it continues just like dick's sporting goods. they could have chosen Tim Tebow or Pat Tillman, a real hero. They dropped Tiger Woods like a hot potato, and sign semi-colin. Their merchandise will move the next time colins followers r**t and they steal it, all those peace loving, cop hating, criminals will take a knee and thank him, i'm sure. The next time there is civil unrest Nike can have a group of NFL players kneel in front of their stores to protect them.

BOYCOTT NIKE!!!!!!! most of their products are made overseas anyway.

Kneelers be Gone
Free speech is one of our most precious freedoms and it has been exercised on the field by these Kneelers. Having said this, I hold them in contempt for taking undue advantage of their position on the field to sully the moment of the Anthem with their political sentiment. an action most Americans loathe, and most Americans feel these super-paid athletes have not succeeded in getting their message across while disrupting the football scene for millions. I, too, have not watched NFL football since these displays, and I encourage others to do the same until this problem is fixed. In fact, I find the college games far more enjoyable, dramatic and closer to my own football reality. I was brought up in DC and was a Skins fan my entire life, but the NFL has gone sour for me now, thanks to the Kneelers.

At first I thought this was the stupidest corporate move since New Coke.

But maybe they are tapping into a market of America-h**ers that's bigger and has more money than I thought.

We'll see.

The solution to me is pretty simple, stop playing the national anthem at professional games. Football is nothing but an entertainment product similar to a movie or concert. It sullies our national anthem to use it as a promotional device. During games many attendees are standing; in line to get beer or in front of a urinal. If it is so sacred that players respectfully kneeling in a silent protest to make our nation more just are denigrated shouldn’t concessions be shut down and restrooms closed during its playing? What is disrespectful during the anthem, reverently kneeling, or standing in front of a pissor with your flopper in your mitt relieving yourself of the mornings tailgate party beer?

Why does the national anthem envoke such loathing from you?

Were you picked on by Americans when you were a child?

I guess they're counting on the America-hating left to pick up your slack.

Well, when the civil war breaks out, we can spot the enemy by their sneakers.

You are completely wrong, I love our f**g and national anthem; what you fail to understand is that they are little but symbols of the ideas and ideals our nation represents. Our f**g is disgraced if it is flown over a dictatorial regime, if men with genuine grievances are forced to stand and salute it against their will. The right wing nationalist blood and soil crowd are as un American as they come, I don’t mind them carrying the f**gs of our defeated foes the N**is and confederacy, it reminds us who our true enemies are. When they wrap themselves in the Stars and Stripes while spitting on our nations values you should be outraged, not when an athlete reverently kneels for the anthem in a quiet effort to get the attention of others and encourage them to work to build a more perfect and just union.

So you are really insisting that we ban the anthem, the pledge of allegiance, and, to top it off, the f**g and saluting. Who are you to declare the nation to be dictatorial? It is not, and you are wrong to suggest it. Grievances, yes, we all have some kind of grievances and there are actions being taken to address them, however slowly, because changing the mores of a nation does not happen overnight. Meanwhile, we have a nation to revere, defend, and salute as the healing processes go on, but in your twisted mentality, kneeling at a ball game is just fine and dandy, or removing the anthem is called for. What would you bet that kneeling would take place in any event? Removing the kneeling players is more to the point---all of them, if necessary. Actions have consequences. Let their contracts expire, or have them sign a no-irreverence condition in their contract to the nation's symbols at all on the playing field.

You're a sick puppy. But your hatred aside....

Those protesting against America during the national anthem are the ones pissing on the f**g.

It's not an accident that they choose a time of national unity when so many Patriots are showing their respect for America to make asses out of themselves.

The funny part of this is that Kaepernick was originally protesting losing his starting job to a white guy, but when he got a lot of attention it morphed into the protest against police brutlity against b****s; by simple timing alone. But this is even better. When he became the "symbol" of the down trodden black person, NIKE started paying him with the promise to bring it out when the timing was right; now I guess. So, in reality, he has sacrificed NOTHING AT ALL. Nike is sided up with the left and is hoping this will get more young people to buy their stuff.
