You right wingers have this problem, You do not know the difference between "Refugees" and "Jihadis"

But on the plus side, I think our role in the ME may finally come to an end..

If we do not aid the victims, while we provide the munitions for the Saudis to bomb and k**l bus loads of school children, then what defensible role do we play in the ME?

the United Nations Relief and Works Agency has been around since 1948.. In all that time, the US has been the major cash cow.. should we get an atta-boy for that? You betcha..

But now by acting for Israel and doing the chore they have wanted for decades, we need to ask;;;; What is left for us to do in this sand pile?

Only the war machine has a role to play now.. so how about we remove all of our active participation and then the war people will still sell their products,

Fewer photos of blood and gore will be shown to upset those who give a darn..

It all seem win win.. Not only does the orange guy preserve his money deals with Israel, but fewer American bodies should have to come home in a box.

but in doing that, let us not change the t***h.... the UNRWA is helping victems, not terrorists.. If we play the role and take the ball and go home.. we should be honest about the players as well..

So to wind up... I have no axe to grind (at the moment) if we drop funding to UNRWA, But if we do so, then we should also stop promoting the several wars in the ME..

Come home and spend the new money to fix infrastructure..

The United States is ending all funding for the UN's Palestinian refugee agency, the US State Department says.

It described the organisation, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (Unrwa), as "irredeemably flawed".

The US administration has "carefully reviewed" the issue and "will not make additional contributions to Unrwa," spokeswoman Heather Nauert said.

A spokesman for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas later said the move was an "assault" against his people.

"Such a punishment will not succeed to change the fact that the United States no longer has a role in the region and that it is not a part of the solution," Nabil Abu Rudeina told Reuters news agency.

He added that the decision was "a defiance of UN resolutions".

A spokesman for Unrwa, Chris Gunness, defended the agency in a series of tweets.

"We reject in the strongest possible terms the criticism that Unrwa's schools, health centres, and emergency assistance programs are 'irredeemably flawed'," he wrote.

What is Unrwa?
Unrwa was originally set up to take care of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians displaced by the 1948 Arab-Israeli war.

The agency says it currently supports more than five million Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, including providing health care, education and social services.

The US has been the largest single donor to Unrwa, providing $368m (£284m) in 2016 and funding almost 30% of its operations in the region.

How has the international community reacted?
Earlier on Friday, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said his country would increase its contributions to the agency because its funding crisis was fuelling uncertainty.

"The loss of this organisation could unleash an uncontrollable chain reaction," Mr Maas said.

Meanwhile, the UN's secretary general, Antonio Guterres, has said he has "full confidence" in Unrwa, and called on other countries "to help fill the remaining financial gap".

The fact is, a great deal of US aid to the region ends up in the militants hands. Like when we were funding the Syrian rebels who, in turn, would then fund ISIS. Remember that pic of McCain with the "rebel" leaders who were later identified as ISIS commanders??? I'd laugh, but that wasn't laughable.

You never miss a chance to suck-up to terrorists, do you?

The Palestinian people are suffering because they are ruled by terrorists, not because American taxpayers quit subsidising them.

What about all the whining about the deficit I hear every time Americans get a tax cut? What about all of that crying about our grandchildren paying off the debt? I guess you think terrorists getting paid is more important than tax cuts.

Is that all you simpering wimps got from my post, that i want to keep helping refugees??? Stupid beyond the pale..

But as your are all talking about refugees/terrorists, do you think all those half starved pitiful people in the camps are terrorists??

OK, you probably do... So then, should we keep our troops in the sand pile??

think hard, honestly, would you not like to have our tax money spent here rather the rescuing some dumb brown person who has never seen the internet.. and will simply eat up food and use up space.

If we spend it at home, we can have more gated communities and closed up golf courses.. How can you not see, it could bring all the things you love..

No need to help anyone..especially if they are over there..

wake up and do what your orange thing expects you do want..

Your charity with other people's money is really touching.

If you loved Americans half as much as you loved terrorists it would be an improvement.

If they are told how to come in legally, and they have and they are, why don't they?? Our resistance is also increased by the lefts efforts to also let them v**e.

And, many, are violent criminals. It's a fact. Y'all paint this picture of poor poor starving people, ignoring the fact that many are also running from the law or have a violent past.

By the way, why so many able young men among the refugees from Muslim countries? Maybe they should fight the the things they run from. Because possibly, the long term plan is to infiltrate the country.?? ME countries represent multi generational fighters/planners. They think in terms of decades and centuries, not just years.

Think!! Is this thing on??
