Ready for Feel Good New?

Fire officials in Colorado on Friday came to the rescue of a horse that was trapped in thick mud by creating a rope system to free him.

The Castle Rock Fire Department Local 4116 received a call that a horse, located about a half-mile away from the nearest road, needed assistance.

When crew members arrived, they had to "dig through the falling mud to sling the horse, set up a rope system, and pull the horse free from the mud and up a 10-ft embankment," the local fire department described in a Facebook post on Saturday.

Good news, the colt is fine and no firemen were hurt. I am glad everyone is fine, horses can be hard to rescue especially when they are also trying to save themselves. A hearty thank you to these firemen.

Love cats and dogs, but horses are my soft spot. Loved that feel-good story of the day. Love the military and law enforcement but again firemen are my soft spot. Thanks, Penny! The pole looks like it kept his head and airway free of the mud until they could get him or her out. A big atta-boy to that fire department!

I watched this on TV as it unfold... was so very proud of all of them there to help... Made me feel good living in a state that truly does care for the animals...

Not long ago a rancher barn caught fire.. People came from all over the little town to help, a man taking a good number of his horses to barn for the gentlemen ..Then they all came back and rebuilt his barn bringing wood themselves donated by a home depot because the woman shared the story with her boss ..

Stories like this show the good in people and warm the heart... Thank You for sharing it...
