So this is an example of a republican who is likely to get harsh sentencing for fraudulently misusing campaign funds. If he and his wife simply admitted guilt they would get a slap on the wrist and would likely have to pay back the funds.

Instead they are going to insist that this is some sort of deep state witch hunt that they are not guilty of, and I guess hope that they can get a right wing sympathetic jurist that ignores ridiculously clear receipts and evidence that they personally used campaign funds for things they could not afford. They were spending money like drunken sailors on things that people who can't afford it don't do.

They actually both deserve to go to prison because neither one of them sees anything wrong with what they were doing.

They have him on 60 counts, i***tic things, family vacations, dental work, vacations where they are paying for other family members.
Why go on the defense and make statements like this if you aren't going to figure out what it's about and how easy it is to prove this with receipts?

When prosecution lists 60 counts, they are going to be bullet proof counts, can you imagine how many could pose a doubt, so they are left off so as not to create any doubt on any of it?

$250,000 is a number that would be pretty hard to fabricate without proof.

Why does it matter if it's a dem or a republican? Dirtbags don't know any party affiliation. You ruin your credibility when defense is automatic and has no basis in reality.

I saw more coverage on the types of things they were using campaign funds for, this was truly moronic, try tuition for their kid's school, dental bills which they would itemize as some sort of political campaign for toothcare.

When the campaign fund staffers were raising questions they were told to lighten up and get off their backs. And H****r's wife was or is paid $117,000 a year for doing something, that's a pretty serious job that warrants that kind of money in the real world.
