It sure sounds like it. If I disobeyed at school I got ait at home that night. Are there bad teachers? Yes but there are more bad students right now than bad teachers I'm afraid and these parents better step up and discipline their children.

Wolf, that is indeed a sad example of what our Country and its schools are becoming. Unfortunately I think it is probably not an infrequent example. It does seem that those in a position to at least begin to do something about it - principals, school administrators, state and federal representatives and legislators etc - are not willing to risk what is needed to get the ball rolling. I have always believed that the school should be an extension of the home. That is the credo of most Christian schools. However, that is hardly possible in today's public schools since God has virtually been kicked out of them. The parent-child link is broken and with such a high percentage of single parent families, you have a prime breeding ground for crime and when students with that kind of home environment are sent to school to be controlled by teachers without backing, we are fighting a losing battle. Until we can get at the root of the problem, I'm afraid we aren't going to change much.
