If you watched Mark Meckler and Tom Coburn on Life, Liberty, and Levin last night, then there are a few things you know for sure.

First, the federal government is broken. And second, career politicians in Washington will never limit their own power.

That’s why our Founding Fathers entrusted us -- the American people -- with the authority to call a Convention of States to propose amendments that limit federal power.

The U.S. Constitution dictates that everything not specifically designated to the federal government should be entrusted to the states.

But as we all know, that is not what’s happening today. Far from it. Instead, most states only control 40% of issues pertaining to their own money -- unelected bureaucrats decide the rest.

Let that sink in. Sixty percent of the time… someone sitting in an office on the other side of the country… who was never even elected… is making decisions that directly impact your life.

In the words of Mark Levin, "Today the federal government is the nation's largest creditor, lender, employer, consumer, grantor, property owner, tenant, insurer, healthcare provider, and pension guarantor: Does that sound like limited government to you?"

But all hope isn’t lost. The Founders left us with a solution as big as the problem.

Now is the time to use the power entrusted to the states in Article V, to propose amendments that limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on Congress, staffers, and bureaucrats.

As Mark Meckler commented last night, “This is the battle of our generation.”

It only takes 34 states to make it happen, and twelve are already onboard. We're closing in on victory.

That's really interesting. For an actual state decision we might be able to get something done even in Illinois. I think we only have 4 or 5 blue counties, but cook county has historically run the show because it contains Chicago.
BTW if this site often invites people to watch by saying "watch here with other stupid sheeple" they may have a problem getting their message across, because the implication is that you personally are a stupid sheeple, as is anyone you invite to watch with you.
