As I see it, here's a brief summary of choices for those trying to decide what TDS truly is. I go with the third option.

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a mental condition in which a person has been driven effectively insane due to their dislike of Donald Trump, to the point at which they will abandon all logic and reason.

Symptoms for this condition can be very diverse, ranging from hysterical outbursts to a complete mental break. TDS can also often result in the sufferer exhibiting violent, homicidal, or even genocidal desires.

Sufferers have also been known to wish direct self harm on themselves (such as increased taxes, a desire for an economic recession, and even nuclear war), provided that a action might in some way hurt Donald Trump.

Paranoia is also a common symptom of TDS. Sufferers have been known to believe that they are in some way being persecuted, and in some cases believe they are about to be a victim of genocide. The paranoia does however not seem to be bad enough to make TDS sufferers act on their beliefs to the extent of attempting to actually leave the United States.

If properly treated, suffers of TDS can make a full recovery. Many suffers have been known to grow out of TDS, yet many can only be treated by having their condition directly treated through the application of logical reasoning. It is also known that products containing soy can exasperate the condition.

Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) is a satirical psychological diagnosis used to explain the hysterical reaction and belligerent behavior of people, directed towards anything related to President Donald Trump, as pertaining to his presidency. It isn't intended to be a logical argument, rather a jab at another individual's excessive emotional reactions as well as aggressive physical displays. It is an ad hominem argument, not a strawman argument as suggested by another definition.

Yeah, I'm for #3 as well. I would add that those who suffer from TDS, may also succumb to PTSD, SAD ( seasonal affective disorder, where the season is 12 months long ), short term memory loss, long term memory loss, and frequent psychotic episodes.

Some of those TDS people threatened to leave the country if Trump got elected(Maddona and a few others). T***p w*n, but none of them left! What a disappointment!!)Some of us who don't h**e our President(who has helped get the economy back in shape, gotten people back to work,etc. But, I get it, the Trump h**ers miss our last POUS, he was so much more charming. But O took advantage of his naive fans. He promised them to ta. ke us out of wars. He took us into a few wars that have nothing to do with US! Unemployment skyrocketed for ALL Americans, but especially for minorities, there were record numbers of people on food stamps;O didn't discriminate, millionaires were getting food stamps when he was POUS(Why not, the multi-millionaires contributed record high campaign contributions to O. Under O, the armed forces members weren't allowed to pray in Jesus name while in uniform. But, in publi schools the kids were told to pray Muslim prayers and dress in Muslim clothing(what ever happened to First Amendment Freedom of Religion?I hve to be areful. For 8 years I managed not to get any kind of Obamma Derangement. Now the rea danger to mental health is being driven crazy by the Trump Derangement Sufferers running the MSM. I suppos that I'll have to keep the t.v. off.

Then there are patriots, those who see a president, administration, the GOP and the things they are doing that obviously will have detrimental impacts down the line.

They read actual news and have for ten or more years, and know who and what Trump is, his bankruptcies, the scandalous way he has conducted business affairs, his ties to organized crime figures while owning casinos, the fines and charges he's settled off on.

There is nothing deranged about calling a spade a spade and a crook a crook.

Then on the right we have the naked belief in their savior who can do no wrong, tell no lie, or do anything that offsets the supposed good he is doing.

Problem being when Obummer was in office we couldn’t call a spade a spade without being labeled a r****t. Something about political correctness and the media. We were lucky to survive his eight years in office!
