In a surprising bout of honesty (shocking, really), and dare I say, humility--the president went on record to praise the former CIA Director, albeit through his Press Secretary. Citing that Trump had been a long-time admirer of Brennan, especially for his excellent work on the Russian interference and possible campaign collusion, she plainly stated what Trump liked most about the man. "The president was very explicit in his praise," Sanders said, "finding Mr. Brennan's irrepressible and consistent 'lying,' 'frenzied commentary,' and 'erratic conduct' as the hallmark of a true leader and a studied modeling of his leadership. The president ended by saying, 'He learned from the best.'"
