Saying religion is an infection? Some would agree to the same sentiment about christians. It's time for christians to support the freedom of religion as applies to all religious beliefs, and keep them out of our laws..

Not the religion. The 1100s culture.

This problem may contribute to the USA having another Civil War which Obama probably has planned for because he and his 1st B***h h**e this country.
Correct. It was called "Fundamentally change America".Remember the Muslim in the Greek Columns 2007?
You just can't make this stuff up.
MY MY,,, You right wingers and never happy..
You yell and scream that these Somalies and others refuse to assimilate..
Then when they do and inter politics, and abide by our countries rules in doing so, you cry about that..
that old article was about the state office she won in 2016.. Old and cleared up..
The young lady in question will be the replacement for Keith as a congress man, MN district #5. Which is basically south Minneapolis.
She beat out 2 other Somali in the primary..
Keith is running for Minnesota AG..
Yes, we have a lot of Somali Muslims in Mpls, some Somali Christians also..
About 50,000 of them in Mpls.. out of 2 million in the cities.
a much more important conspiracy for the right wing to fight..
She's a former refugee, a Muslim, a mom of three, and now the first Somali-American lawmaker in the United States.
"This really was a victory for that 8-year-old in that refugee camp," Ilhan Omar, 34, said. "This was a victory for the young woman being forced into child marriage. This was a victory for every person that's been told they have limits on their dreams."
Omar is the youngest of seven children. She and her family fled from the Somali civil war and spent four years in a refugee camp in Kenya. When she came to the United States in 1995, she spoke only Somali. As her English improved, she began t***slating for her grandfather at political events in the Twin Cities. Today, the Minneapolis organizer is well-versed in business administration and politics.
"I think I bring the voice of young people," Omar said. "I think I bring the voice of women in the East African community. I bring the voice of Muslims. I bring the voice of young mothers looking for opportunities."
She won House District 60B in southeast Minneapolis with 80 percent of the v**e. It wasn't a surprise that Omar would win a Minnesota House seat in the reliably Democratic district: In the primary contest earlier, she beat a 22-term incumbent, and her Republican challenger suspended his campaign for family reasons. Allegations were raised during the campaign that she had illegally married her brother to commit immigration fraud; she denied the charge.

The walter-McCarran was one of those things, such as citizens united that never should have been a law..

In one of its last acts, the 101st Congress repealed this embarrassing remnant of the McCarthy era, a law that permitted the exclusion and expulsion of immigrants with politically "incorrect" beliefs and associations. Long criticized, the law appeared especially ludicrous in the wake of the Cold War.
But before we congratulate our representatives for courageously eradicating this 1950s relic, we should ask whether the new law that replaced it is in fact a change for the better. From the perspective of one who has litigated under the McCarran-Walter Act for many years, it looks unfortunately like more of the same. The new law continues to draw ideological lines and may well increase the administration's ability to exclude and deport aliens for political reasons.

In other words, you reserve the right to decide which of our nations rules you will accept.
Seriously, would you accept as a house guest a man who says God gives him the right to rape your wife and daughter and behead your son? If not, why do you obligate me to live next door to that bastard?
