A generation of cannibis users vs. a generation that did not.

So, I'm just casually making an observation here. I have heard over and over "what's going on with kids these days" People have noticed a serious change in behavior that seems to have affected an entire generation School violence, anxiety ,depression, identity issues, massive drug abuse, gangs suicide.
It seems ,that just maybe it's possible maybe a lot of the parents of this suffering generation are the pot smoking elites of society.
I didn't see lots of dope smoking in the home during the time I was growing up.
Now ,everyone goes home and gets high.
Maybe, the effects of smoking cannibis go a little bit further than we realize, maybe it's just a co-incidence.
So that's my take on what's different with kids today.

I believe research has shown that younger people smoking it vs adults is vastly different. Teenage brain development apparently is not complete until later than had previously been thought, which makes a difference in the long term consequences of pot smoking.

It certainly makes sense. Bullying was unheard of when I was in school and now, my youngest grandson s being homeschooled because of it. Lucky fi him his mother is a teacher w/a masters degree from sometime back when it meant a little something. He’ll be ok but what of the kids who don’t have that kind of help or that kind of home, I was recently offered an investment opportunity before all state make drugs legal. Can you imagine that a few years ago? We’re becoming “drug lords”.

I'm 62, "my generation" has more people that smoke pot than don't. Shooting pool on a bar league it isn't that hard to figure out who smokes and who doesn't. Younger "kids" have no lock on smoking pot.

Complaining about bullying was what was unheard of, but yes it does seem to have taken up a new level. Part of that is more of an awareness and news coverage.

On the school bus there was a lot of bullying. My friend Jim and I were sitting in front of a little guy who was being picked on by a bigger and older guy, my friend turned around and told the bully to knock it off. The bully asked what he was going to do about it and Jim told him he'd punch him, the guy resumed picking and Jim turned around and punched him right in the face. Jim got suspended for a week.

The funny thing was the bully's father was all up in arms about his son being hit and having his nose broken, my dad would have kicked my ass for being a bully.

That’s how it always goes. D********g! What kind of supervision do the kids at school have.

It wasn't so much about who's smoking or not smoking ,but rather how getting high might be affecting issues like discipline, family activities, and communication in the household. It seems that without a good health dose of normal stress, our brains aren't challenged to deal with the world as it is, and not seen under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
