The Right and left break down essentially this way on ideology respectively: tradition and thought.
Terrible thing to say, perhaps, but in fifty years of experience the difference, to me, comes down to spirit and letter, the Right seeming to always favor the letter and the Left, spirit. Sort of a laziness on the Right's part. And it's very attractive. Instant community support. Hoards of neighbors and social media accounts lauding your support of banning a mosque. Or banning borques in your gated-community. Bravo! Where is the spirit in such things supposedly American and Christian? Christians have absolute zero reason or need for such activities. Except Evangelicals backing Trump. They will h**e and persecute anyone for so-called "religious freedom."
Liberals think, conservatives relay on tradition.

ROFLMAO
It was a Republican that put an end to s***ery in this country.
It was Democrats that chose to divide the nation to prevent ending s***ery.
It was a Republican that first gave women the right to v**e.
It was a Democrat legislature that attempted to take the v**e away again.
It was a Republican President who ended school desegregation.
It was a Democrat governor who ordered the National Guard to prevent it.
It was a Republican Congress that created the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
It was Democrats who fought it to the bitter end.
I don't see much other than clinging desperately onto the past in the Democrat behavior, do you, really?
